Craig Media announced layoffs Articles / Craig Broadcasting Posted by RAD on May 19, 2004 - 09:13 AM Craig Media Inc. announced layoffs involving 37 positions at its Calgary and Toronto television stations, intended to further rationalize its operations and control costs. This latest move follows work force reductions at the Company’s Edmonton station as a result of consolidating certain job functions in Alberta within Craig’s Calgary and Edmonton A-Channel stations. In making the announcement, Craig Media Inc. President and CEO Drew Craig stated: “This is part of an ongoing review and restructuring of our operations to ensure the stations remain competitive and continue to be in a position to meet all of their local programming commitments.” Yesterday’s announcement affects employees in the areas of Program Production, Sales and Marketing.
