TVtropolis hits a home-run with its new Winter line-up of top-rated reality series paired with returning favourites launching January 4. Viewers can cruise by parking patrol on Parking Wars, throw out the trash with Hoarders, achieve property perfection with Jeff Lewis on Flipping Out and get fashion tips from designer divos DSQUARED² on Launch My Line. Two other unscripted series will have animal-lovers rejoicing with the addition of Rescue Ink and Dog Whisperer to the schedule.
“As the channel where hit TV lives, TVtropolis is always looking to add recognizable series to its line-up. It made perfect sense to incorporate even more unscripted television and we have acquired some of the best and most engaging titles,” said Daniel Eves, Vice President, Strategic Programming, Specialty, Canwest Broadcasting.
The Winter schedule is packed with more hit unscripted series than ever before. A&E’s most-popular series Hoarders is a fascinating look inside the lives of people whose inability to part with their belongings is so out of control that they are on the verge of a personal crisis. The series captures the drama as experts work to put them on the road to recovery. Hoarders airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT beginning January 6.
Also from A&E, Parking Wars trails the Philadelphia Parking Authority who are tasked with ticketing, booting (via wheel clamp), and towing cars, as well as dealing with the issues that arise with the often entertaining public when they try to retrieve their vehicles from the impound lots. Parking Wars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT beginning January 4.
From fashion to flipping, TVtropolis premieres two exciting new style series. The channel is the home to the Canadian Premiere of Launch My Line. The series features 10 fashion designers paired with 10 successful professionals, who are highly regarded in their own field of expertise, but have always dreamed of having their own clothing line. The winning team will see their clothing line launched. Hosted by acclaimed Canadian designers, twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten of DSQUARED², Launch My Line airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT beginning January 4.
Flipping Out follows the antics of one of Los Angeles' most colourful real estate speculators, Jeff Lewis. It takes a special kind of personality to handle flipping six multimillion-dollar houses at one time, but Lewis, an obsessive compulsive successful businessman, pulls it off and turns a six-figure profit on every property. Flipping Out airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning January 4.
TVtropolis is also home to some of the most unique unscripted series featuring man’s best friend. Rescue Ink follows a bunch of tattooed tough guys who have joined together to fight animal cruelty, educate abusers and help resolve situations other rescue groups can’t – or won’t – handle themselves. Rescue Ink airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT beginning January 5.
Join well-respected animal behaviourist Cesar Millan on Dog Whisperer as he works to help dogs with behaviour problems, and their human families. Dog Whisperer airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning January 5.
Returning comedy series include:
Family Guy – back-to-back episodes Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Seinfeld – back-to-back episodes Monday-Friday at 4 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Friends – back-to-back episodes Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT
That 70’s Show – Thursdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/PT
