groups whose habitats and very existence are under threat. Premiering
Sunday, September 28 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, each one-hour episode of

predators and prey, intriguing behaviours, mating rituals, rearing of young –
and examining the myths and legends that bind the animals to our own lives, this
endearing series aims to raise awareness of the real possibility of extinction
across a range of animal groups, while projecting future trends for each species
and highlighting what must be done to ensure their continued survival into the
next century and beyond.
The series begins with a
profile of Whales (September 28), followed by a look
at Gorillas (October 5), continuing with
Elephants (October 12) and ending with Tigers
(October 19).

of Alaska, each type has adapted to a different environment so that few places
