Forty years ago today, more than 53 million households tuned in to see humans walk on the moon for the first time. Fast forward to present day, when Canadian astronauts Julie Payette and Robert Thirsk continue to settle into their missions on the International Space Station. And back on Planet Earth, it was confirmed today that the new CTV/SPACE drama series DEFYING GRAVITY will also land on SPACE on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET in addition to its Sunday night timeslot on CTV. Premiering Friday, August 7 on SPACE, DEFYING GRAVITY is a sexy, provocative space thriller set in the very near future, following eight astronauts – from five countries including Canada – on a mysterious mission through the solar system.
Following the special two-hour premiere, DEFYING GRAVITY will air every Friday at 8 p.m. ET and repeat Saturdays at 12 p.m. ET on SPACE. Episodes are available on demand at www.spacecast.com immediately following their television premiere.
