This october, SuperChannel brings us five series premiere as well as movie premiere and fights!
Welcome to Super Channel’s monthly programming news brief aimed at highlighting the award-winning programming and many premieres available each month.
Series Premieres
Oct. 6 – Peep Show
Season 5 – Follow the lives of two young men, Mark and Jeremy, both in their twenties, who share an apartment. Their different personalities animate the show and bring substantial material to the comedy.
Oct. 19 – Criminal Justice (HD)
After a wild night of alcohol and drugs, 21 year old Ben Coulter wakes up next to the girl he met the night before brutally murdered in her bed. To make matters worse Ben remembers nothing. Now he finds himself wrapped up in the brutal British justice system.
Oct. 20 – Sons of Anarchy (HD)
Starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal- Sons of Anarchy is a drama with darkly comedic undertones about a notorious outlaw motorcycle club intent on protecting their sheltered small town against encroaching drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers.
Watch for Canadian artist Manon Elder’s work, who attributes her biker art to none other than Shaw Communications CEO, Jim Shaw.
Oct. 20 – Crash (HD) Double episode premiere
Starring Dennis Hopper and inspired by the Academy Award-winning Best Motion Picture of the same name, Crash explores the complexities of social and racial tolerance and the meaning of the American dream through characters whose lives intersect and collide as they strive to achieve that dream in Los Angeles California.
The production team headed by writer/executive producer Glen Mazzara (The Shield) includes executive producers Bob Yari, Bobby Moresco and Canadian Paul Haggis and co-executive producers Don Cheadle, Tom Nunan and Mark R. Harris – part of the group behind the Oscar-winning movie.
Oct. 28 –Torn
A 3-part mini series - Two families' lives are turned upside down when a mother recognizes her daughter who was snatched from a beach 12 years before and had been assumed drowned.

Oct. 4 –Hitman (HD)
Cast – Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott
Based on the top-selling, award-winning videogame franchise, the "Hitman" is a genetically-engineered, elite assassin known only as Agent 47. His hallmarks are a lethal grace, unwavering precision, and resolute pride in his work.
Oct. 17 – Resurrecting the Champ (HD)
Based on a true story, that was based on a lie.
Cast – Samuel L. Jackson, Josh Hartnett
A sports reporter realizes the homeless man he just rescued is a former boxing champ. What the reporter does not know is the story he is writing on the boxer is fabricating, leaving his life on the verge of a TKO.
Oct. 24 – Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (HD)
Cast – Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman
When the 243-year-old proprietor of the most wonderful toy store in the world, announces that he will at long last hand over the reins of his store to his unconfident young manager, Molly, the store decides to throw an unusual tantrum.
Oct. 25 – The Eye (HD)
· Winner of the Teen Choice Award Best Movie Actress: Horror/Thriller
Cast – Jessica Alba, Parker Posey
A blind violinist undergoes surgery to recover her sight and is haunted by what she sees. She sets out to discover the reasons for her visions and discovers the story of the donor.
