UFC Fight Night 15: Diaz vs. Neer On Rogers SportsNet Programming Highlights / Rogers Sportsnets Posted by RAD on Sep 16, 2008 - 02:24 PM UFC fighter Nate Diaz (9-2) will look to put a dent on the record of veteran Josh ‘The Dentist” Neer (24-6-1) in the main event of UFC Fight 15 Wednesday, September 17 at 8 p.m. (ET) live on Rogers Sportsnet and Rogers Sportsnet HD. The fight will also be broadcast later on Sportsnet West and Pacific at 7 p.m. (MT)/7 p.m. (PT). The UFC Fight 15 card will be followed by the premiere episode of The Ultimate Fighter 8 on Wednesday, September 17 at 11 p.m. (ET)/9 p.m. (PT). The 23-year old Diaz got his start in the UFC octagon by competing in the fifth season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter 5 last year. Diaz ultimately won the competition for the right to a professional contract with the UFC. Neer has been competing in the UFC since 2003 and owes one of his defeats to the older brother of Diaz, Nick Diaz. Some other notable matches include the light heavyweight bout between Eric “Ravishing Red” Schafer (11-3-2) and Houston Alexander (8-3-1), middleweight bout with Alan “The Talent” Belcher (11-4) vs. Ed “Short Fuse” Herman (16-5) and the lightweight match pitting Clay “The Carpenter” Guida (23-6) vs. Mac Danzig (19-4-1).
