Chevy Karaoke Star Returns with Season Two

After a nationwide search, CMT brings viewers season two of the fan favourite series Chevy Karaoke Star. Premiering on Thursday, July 31 at 8 p.m. ET (r) 11 p.m. ET, karaoke fanatics selected from eight different Canadian cities will compete for the $10,000 CDN cash prize and the coveted Chevy Karaoke Star title.

Hosted by CMT’s Paul McGuire (CMT 30), each week, ten hopefuls will sing their hearts out in front of a panel of judges, including country artist Beverley Mahood plus local radio talents and surprise celebrity guests from each city. One hopeful from each episode will be chosen to compete in the show’s live two-hour finale held in Toronto.

The new season will also include some twists as Canadians are given an extra chance to shine. One wild card contestant from each city will be selected by viewers to compete in the show’s finale where the 18 finalists with battle-it-out for the prize. These contestants will be selected through text and online voting at www.CMT.ca [1].

To top it all off, candidates who missed the initial round of auditions can upload videos of their performance at www.CMT.ca</A from Thursday, July 31 to Thursday, September 18 for a chance to become a Karaoke Cyber-Star. Two Karaoke Cyber-Stars will be chosen for a chance to compete in Toronto.
