Global cranks up the cool and beats the heat with a refreshing summer line-up of comedy, drama and reality programming.


LAST COMIC STANDING comes to Global Thursday, May 22 – 9:30pm ET/PT as the international search for the funniest undiscovered comedian gets underway. Viewers can watch comics from all over the world put their acts to the test for the chance to be one of the top 12 contestants moving on to the finals. Competing for an NBC talent deal, each week the finalists will in face comedy showdowns and eliminations until only one comedian remains.

BURN UP, an all-new two-part four-hour mini-series starring Canadian Neve Campbell, will make its world premiere Tuesday, June 10 – 9pm ET/PT, second installment to air Wednesday, June 11 – 9pm ET/PT. This conspiracy thriller, also starring Emmy Award-winner, Bradley Whitford (The West Wing) and British actor, Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks, MI-5, Casanova), is a Global Canadian Original production revolving around the politics of climate change, and focusing on the battle between environmental activists and oil company executives faced with economic success and ecological responsibility.

IN PLAIN SIGHT, an all-new crime drama premiering Tuesday, June 17 – 10pm ET/PT, stars Mary McCormack (1408, The West Wing) as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal attached to the highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program (WITSEC). From career criminals and murderers, to those who have had the misfortune of witnessing or falling victim to a crime, Mary’s witnesses must leave behind everything and everyone they know, cut off all contact, change identities and relocate to build a new life. But no matter what walk of life - or what side of the law - these people come from, they all have one thing in common: Someone wants them dead.

Summertime reality TV favorite, BIG BROTHER is back with a new group of strangers in the BB house on Sunday, July 13 – 8pm ET/PT. Season 10 features brand new twists and surprises as the houseguests do their best to try to avoid eviction while being filmed 24/7 in order to win the show's grand prize of half a million dollars.

SWINGTOWN, an all-new series from producer/writer Mike Kelley (Jericho, The O.C.) beginning Thursday, June 5 – 10pm ET/PT, takes viewers back to the ‘70s, the era of provocative change. Starring Canadian Molly Parker (HBO’s Six Feet Under, Deadwood), Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) and Grant Show (Melrose Place), this drama centres around one family’s move into an affluent Chicago suburb, only to discover their neighbours share much more than just recipes. Introduced to a world of possibility, including open marriages, Bruce and Susan Miller are confronted with personal choices, experimentation and shifting attitudes.

DURHAM COUNTY, the emotionally powerful Canadian Original drama series makes its Global debut Monday, May 19 – 10pm ET/PT. Starring Hugh Dillon (Trailer Park Boys: The Movie), Durham County revolves around Detective Mike Sweeney and his family as he hunts a serial killer he's certain is the guy across the street. As Sweeney hunts down his murderous neighbour, the differences between the cop and the killer become blurry. With a shared history that goes all the way back to high school, Sweeney learns you can’t always leave your past behind. Durham County also stars Justin Louis (Saw IV), Helene Joy (ReGenesis) and Greyston Holt.
