Flashpoint now ready for international distribution

Flashpoint first aired on CTv and was also picked up by CBS. this was the first time since Due South that a show produced in Canada (by Pink Sky Entertainment and Avamar Entertainment) and is now ready for International distribution. Alchemy and Tele Munchen will handle the international distribution of this program.

FLASHPOINT is a high-stakes ensemble police drama about a team of elite cops that handle the calls ordinary cops can’t. Highly trained in swat tactics and psychology, this specialized unit uses state-of-the-art weaponry – sniper rifles, snake-cameras, and robotics – along with expert negotiating tactics, to take down – or talk down – hostage-takers, terrorists, and bomb-makers and delve deeply into the psychology of the human beings at the center of each week’s flashpoint. Leading the team are Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars, Just Shoot Me) as the emotionally brilliant Gregory Parker, the SRU’s head negotiator and Hugh Dillon (Durham County, ReGenesis) as Ed Lane, alpha male and tactical brain of the SRU.

“FLASHPOINT is filled with action, tension, heart, and heroism -- touching on universal themes that audiences around the world will find compelling, moving and entertaining," said producers Anne Marie La Traverse and Bill Mustos. “Underlying each and every episode of FLASHPOINT is the exploration of the human cost of heroism. Being a supercop is tougher than you think.”

"Flashpoint" is written and created by Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern. The series is executive produced by multiple Gemini Award-winner Anne Marie La Traverse ("Hunt for Justice: The Louise Arbour Story") for Pink Sky Entertainment and Bill Mustos for Avamar Entertainment in association with CTV and CBS Paramount Network Television.
