Jericho and Welcome to the Captain are the latest primetime network series to join the CTV schedule following the announcement earlier today that the fifth season of Nip/Tuck would premiere immediately CTV’s exclusive broadcast of Super Bowl XLII. The three new series join additional new series Lost, Eli Stone and Dexter, which will all premiere on CTV throughout the next month. Additionally, CTV announced today that the one-hour music special Celine Dion: That’s Just the Woman in Me will join special event programming over the next four weeks that also includes Super Bowl XLII and The 80th Annual Academy Awards along the with the CTV Original Mini-Series Would Be Kings and the CTV Original Movie Mayerthorpe.

The new programming joins a CTV primetime schedule that has delivered all 10 of the Top 10 programs on Canadian television for the past two weeks in a row.* Series that have premiered on CTV since January 1 include American Idol, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Medium, Law & Order, Degrassi: The Next Generation and Moment of Truth.

Jericho is the cult hit fan favourite that returns for a second season following American Idol on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV. The gripping, intense drama about post-apocalyptic small-town America will also air Monday nights on SPACE beginning Feb. 18. Season 2 picks up where the nuclear war left off, with the once-peaceful town of Jericho still struggling in the aftermath of the explosion that changed everything.

Welcome to the Captain is a comedy about a wildly eclectic group of people whose lives are intertwined through the place they all come home, a fabled Hollywood apartment building, El Capitan. Starring Chris Klein, Jeffrey Tambor and Fran Kranz, Welcome to the Captain airs Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET following Corner Gas, beginning Feb. 4. The series will also air on The Comedy Network beginning Feb. 8.

In the first concert since her successful five-year run in Las Vegas, Céline Dion returns to the stage for the hour-long special, Celine Dion: That's Just the Woman in Me premiering Friday, Feb. 15 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Taped earlier this month before a live studio audience at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Jan. 12, the intimate concert allows the five-time Grammy Award-winner to answer questions from guests about her past, present and future.
