NHL Network announced this week the addition of Brian Duff as host of the network's signature show, NHL On The Fly. Duff will make his NHL Network debut in mid-September during the network's coverage of the NHL pre-season.

Duff joins Dan Pollard as one of the two primary hosts of NHL On The Fly, which airs nightly throughout the hockey season from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET and features up-to-the minute hockey information, extended highlights, overtime shootouts, real-time scores, interviews, pre- and post-game reports and news conferences. Duff will be joined in-studio for expert analysis from a variety of NHL veterans, including Gary Green, Dave Reid and Bill Berg. Todd Lewis and Jim Van Horne will also contribute to the show on a regular basis.

No stranger to sports broadcasting, Duff has been involved in the industry for nearly 15 years, with a strong focus on hockey. Prior to joining NHL Network, Duff spent six years as the pre- and post-game host for Toronto Maple Leafs hockey on Leafs TV. His extensive hockey broadcasting career also includes stints as the radio host for pre- and post-game coverage of the Ottawa Senators and Edmonton Oilers and radio game analyst for the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers. In addition, Duff worked at The Score as an anchor and reporter and provided play-by-play for Ottawa Rebel lacrosse and the Mann Cup. Duff has also freelanced for key U.S.-based media outlets including ESPN and Associated Press.

Duff, who grew up in Whitby, Ont., holds a Broadcasting Diploma from Mount Royal College in Calgary.

NHL Network's 2007/08 NHL season gets underway with exclusive Canadian coverage of Game 2 of the season - Los Angeles vs. Anaheim - live from London, England, on September 30 at 12 noon ET. NHL Network will televise 40 live NHL games this season.
