Another chapter is about to be written in the growth of true High Definition television viewing in Canada with the launch of High Fidelity HDTV’s suite of High Definition Channels with Access Communications Co-operative Unlimited.
Beginning Jan. 31, the all-HD channels: Oasis HD, Rush HD, Treasure HD and Equator HD, will be available to Access customers in Regina and surrounding area.
“We are pleased to be part of Access Communications’ HDTV offering,” says High Fidelity HDTV co-founder Ken Murphy, “and we look forward to serving their subscribers with these smart, refreshing, and beautiful channels”
“Nowhere else can you get as much fabulous storytelling,” adds John Panikkar, co-founder of High Fidelity HDTV, “all of it true-HD, and all of it original and new to Canadian audiences,”
Access Communications has beaten other cable television providers to the punch, and is excited by the prospect.
“This is another example of our customer’s requests leading the charge,” says Rick Fraser, Vice President, Marketing for the locally owned co-operative, Access Communications. “We have had numerous requests from our customers for more digital channels, and specifically for more HD programming. With the recent upgrades to our Regina infrastructure, we are now pleased to be able to fulfill those requests and add the Rush HD, Treasure HD, Oasis HD and Equator HD networks to our growing lineup.”
Canadian veteran broadcasters Ken Murphy and John Panikkar, the co-creators of the groundbreaking new company High Fidelity HDTV, took a hard look at the future of television and realized it belonged to those who could offer true HDTV, shot in HDTV. Formed in the spring of 2003, High Fidelity HDTV quickly formed partnerships with similarly forward-thinking HDTV broadcasters around the world. High Fidelity offers the rapidly growing number of Canadian HD viewers four 24/7 all High Definition channels which make owning an HD set worthwhile.
