Les Tomlin, president and CEO of Peace Point Entertainment Group Inc., a Toronto-based independent television production company, is pleased to announce it’s newest TV show Fanatical began airing this week.
The 26-part documentary series, which celebrates the world’s biggest television fans airs on Canada’s TVtropolis, Tuesdays at 7:00pm/11:30pm ET/PT with encore plays Saturdays at 9:30am/7:00pm ET/PT and Sundays at 11:00pm ET/PT.
“The series Fanatical acknowledges that all types of fandom exist out there – we’re looking for those fans that are the most serious and have the most fun with it,” says Tomlin, “these fans keep tabs on actors, characters, story plots and conspiracy theories, visit filming locations, collect memorabilia, create and wear costumes, connect with other like-minded fans and attend festivals and conferences. Our cameras are there to capture all the fun and enthusiasm.”
Each episode profiles two of the most devoted fans of a particular series. With insight from friends, family members and co-workers, Fanatical delves into the weird and wonderful impact television has had on the lives and relationships of our profiled subjects.
The series features a mix of the classic and the contemporary ranging from Star Trek to The Simpsons. Also included in the line-up are Batman, Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Queer As Folk, The Simpsons, Gilligan’s Island, I Love Lucy, Knight Rider and The A-Team.
