Vancouver Canucks sign multi-year agreement with Rogers SportsNet Sports Programming / Rogers Sportsnets Posted by RAD on Sep 06, 2006 - 02:00 PM Rogers Sportsnet is pleased to announce it has reached a multi-year agreement with the Vancouver Canucks to continue as the home of more Canucks telecasts than any other broadcaster. A total of 45 Canucks game will be televised on Sportsnet Pacific this season, starting Friday, Oct. 6th at 4 p.m. when Vancouver faces Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. "The Canucks and Sportsnet have been partners since the launch of our channel eight years ago and this new agreement ensures that relationship will continue into the future, to the benefit of the Canucks fans throughout British Columbia," said Doug Beeforth, President of Rogers Sportsnet. Canucks games on Sportsnet Pacific are available to viewers within British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. "We are very excited to be continuing our partnership with Sportsnet," said Jon Festinger, Executive VP of Business with Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment. "The eight year partnership has allowed our fans a consistent place to enjoy Canucks games over the years and this agreement ensures that this will continue."
