Aimed at ending global warming and over-consumption, Break the Addiction encourages young people to commit to a 12-step recovery program to change their habits and, in turn, change their world. But in Alabama, communities take their football extremely seriously, and the players are living under tremendous pressure to earn football scholarships and win a championship ring -- not to mention the demands of girlfriends, parents, and teachers. This pressure forces the players to address a wide range of topics and controversial issues that are common to all teenagers, whether they’re vying for football championship, studying for a big exam or dealing with peer pressure at school.

Carney is a responsible up and coming entrepreneur and leader of a raucous group of seven guys who come from different parts of the country and from very different backgrounds. There’s Matt Baker, a Val Kilmer look-a-like making his mark as an actor; Greg Whitman, the budding young record producer; Ty Hodges, the valley boy filmmaker; Greg Cies, the Venice beach hippie and new age reggae singer; and finally the Mexican Hugh Hefner club promoter, Frankie Del Gado, who came here alone just a year ago virtually penniless. Together these guys along with Carney brother Chris are touted as Hollywood’s hottest new crew. They count as A-List celebrities among their friends; they throw big, lavish parties; and deal with power, fame and endless temptations. We’ll witness their actions, the reactions, conversations and debates, and see the insecurity, uncertainty and apprehension that everyone faces. This series is unscripted 24/7 and captures the life of these guys as they work and play together and it asks the question – can these friends stay together in the face of success?
