Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central (Western Canada) and Astral Media’s The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) present an exclusive Sunday night line-up of HBO programming with the third season premieres of Deadwood and Entourage, and the debut of new comedy series Lucky Louie on Sunday, June 11 starting at 8 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. Premiering day-and-date with HBO, episodes will be simulcast on Movie Central and The Movie Network’s High Definition channels and will also be accessible on-demand each Tuesday following their Sunday premieres.

“With the debuts this June of these highly anticipated HBO original series, Premium TV continues to deliver a line-up of ‘must-see’ programs on Sunday nights. And by offering encore showings throughout the week, as well as on-demand access, viewers can be sure they'll catch their favourites,” said Andrew Eddy, Vice President and General Manager, Movie Central. “In addition, where available, subscribers can take their viewing experience to a whole new level by watching these shows on high definition. Premium TV gives viewers what they’re looking for: the best shows available anywhere, anytime.”

“As the first home of HBO, we’re very pleased to present a new Sunday night line-up of programming that not only includes hit series like Deadwood and Entourage, but also the first-ever multi-camera sitcom from HBO,” said Kevin Wright, SVP Programming, Astral Television Networks. “Already renowned for its dramatic programming, Lucky Louie confirms that HBO can also apply its unique and innovative perspective to the sitcom format.”

In the new season of Deadwood, premiering at 8 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, the town is on the threshold of its first elections. To protect their hard-earned interests, strategic alliances become more critical than ever to now-sheriff Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and saloon owner Al Swearengen (Ian McShane), who continue to share a restlessness of spirit. Their uneasiness is also heightened by the influx of ambitious new residents, including George Hearst (Gerald McRaney), a real-life tycoon with a lust for gold and absolute power.

Winner of seven Emmy® Awards, Deadwood is created and executive produced by David Milch and also stars Canadian actor Molly Parker.

At 9 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET, fans of the hit half-hour comedy series Entourage can get back on track with Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his three best friends as they share the highs and lows of life in the Hollywood fast lane. With manager Eric (Kevin Connolly) at his side, half-brother Drama (Kevin Dillon) and party pal Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), Vince’s star power is set to rise even higher, thanks to his starring role in the potential blockbuster film Aquaman. No episode is complete without Ari, Vince’s ruthless and relentless agent (Jeremy Piven) and his feisty publicist Shauna (Debi Mazar).

Created by Doug Ellin and executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, Entourage features the following guest stars this season: James Cameron, Mercedes Ruehl, Patti D’Arbanville, James Woods, Nora Dunn, Domenick Lombardozzi and Bruno Kirby.

Lucky Louie joins the Sunday night line-up at 9:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET. Created by and starring comedian Louis C.K., this series is an honest and unadulterated approach to the classic half-hour sitcom. Centered around Louie, a part-time mechanic who spends most of his time at home with his four-year-old daughter while his wife Kim works as a full-time nurse, Lucky Louie takes a fresh and funny look at blue-collar domestic life and examines the challenges of marriage and family through the story of a young couple who are barely getting by.

Executive produced by Louis C.K., whose credits include The Chris Rock Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Saturday Night Live, cast regulars of the series also include Mike Hagerty, Laura Kightlinger, Kelly Gould, Jerry Minor, Kim Hawthorne, Jim Norton and Rick Shapiro.

Deadwood, Entourage and Lucky Louie are pay-TV series available in Canada exclusively on Movie Central and The Movie Network.
