SPACE pays tribute to one of the most influential men in sci-fi television

SPACE will pre-empt its previously scheduled programming next Saturday to air a special tribute to Michael Pillar, who passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. Pillar, best known as the executive producer and co-creator of more than 500 hours of Star Trek, was also the co-creator of the popular series The Dead Zone. As one colleague stated "Michael Piller had an incredible impact on not only modern Star Trek, but on many, many writers." Piller often sought out new writers for his projects, not only in Hollywood, but at college campuses and writing seminars across the country. SPACE's tribute will feature seven hours of television, all written by Piller from three of his most recognizable series.

The special day will be on Saturday, November 12, beginning at 10am ET. the programming will be as follow:

10am ET - Star Trek: The Next Generation, "The Best of Both Worlds" Part One
11am ET - Star Trek: The Next Generation, "The Best of Both Worlds" Part Two
12pm ET - Star Trek: Voyager, "Death Wish"
1pm ET - Star Trek: Voyager "Tattoo"
2pm ET - The Dead Zone "Netherworld"
3pm ET - The Dead Zone, "Zion"
4pm ET - The Dead Zone, "The Storm"
