A new season brings a new crew and new conquests to the Stargate SG-1 team. Ben Browder and Beau Bridges are among the new faces joining the cast as the show enters its ninth season, tying it with The X-Files as the longest-running sci-fi drama series ever, longer than any series in the Star Trek franchise. The highly anticipated season of Stargate SG-1 has its Canadian television premiere on Thursday, November 10 at 10pm ET on SPACE.

General Hank Landry (Bridges) is brought out to replace his longtime friend General Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson), as head of the Stargate Command. Browder, best-known for his role as John Crichton in the fan-favourite series Farscape, is ex-air force pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Cameron Mitchell. Also joining the cast this season are Lou Gossett Jr. and Farscape's Claudia Black. Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge and Canadian Michael Shanks return to the series.

In the season premiere, Cameron Mitchell attempts to reassemble the SG-1 team after they have gone their separate ways, and an old friend arrives on Earth asking for Daniel's (Shanks) help in finding an ancient treasure, and won't take no for an answer.

In preparation for the season premiere, fans get an inside look at the series in Stargate SG-1: Behind the Scenes on Thursday, November 3 at 11pm ET, where the SPACE production team goes on set in Vancouver to get exclusive interviews with the stars and creators of the hit show.

Season 9 cast of Stargate SG-1 (l to r): Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Beau Bridges, Michael Shanks and Christopher Judge.
