CTV announced today a slate of special programming on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in support of Bell Let’s Talk Day, an initiative dedicated to encouraging a national conversation about mental health in Canada in order to eliminate the stigma attached to mental illness. CTV’s family of properties, including CTV, CP24, TSN, MuchMusic and MTV, present a day of original programming focusing on mental health. Ratings: SUPER BOWL XLV Is Most-Watched Ever in Canada with 7.3 Million Viewers on CTV and RDS

SUPER BOWL XLV is the most-watched SUPER BOWL ever on Canadian television with an audience of 7.3 million viewers on CTV (6.54 million, up 4%) and RDS (754,000, up 21%) last night. Preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that the Green Bay Packers thrilling victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday is the most-watched television broadcast in Canada since the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.*

General News: So you Missed the U.S. Superbowl Ads?

Every time this year, canadians complain about the fact that the ads airing in Canada on CTV and the ones that make the headlines all over the world that airs in the U.S. are, for the most part, not the same. The problem is that the C.R.T.C. enforce signal substitution which temporarily replaces the signal from FOX by CTV's signal. So for those of you (like me) who missed the ads and want to watch them, see below for the ones that have the biggest hype.

New Programs: DIY Network Canada Takes A New Spin on Home Improbvement With THE VANILLA ICE PROJECT

DIY Network Canada launched today a marketing campaign to celebrate the Canadian premiere of The Vanilla Ice Project, one of the most talked about series to air on the channel since its inception in October 2009.
