The Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Louis Roquet, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canada Media Fund (CMF), and Valerie Creighton, President and CEO of the CMF, today announced the launch of the new funding agency and presented details regarding its programs. Open for business on April 1, 2010, the CMF’s mandate is to champion the creation of successful, innovative, Canadian content and software applications for current and emerging digital platforms through financial support and industry research.

On March 27, Indigo will carry the eagerly awaited Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 111 event, featuring one of the best ultimate fighters in the world, Québec’s Georges St-Pierre, live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. St-Pierre will be gunning for his 7th straight victory against Dan “the Outlaw” Hardy of Britain, still undefeated in the UFC, who will be trying to snatch away the UFC welterweight championship that St-Pierre reconquered in April 2008.

| Ratings: DANCING WITH THE STARS Season Premiere Sets New Ratings Record For /A\ With 2.1 Million Viewers |

Last night, 2.1 million viewers made the most star-studded season premiere of DANCING WITH THE STARS yet a new benchmark for /A\. Peaking at 2.7 million viewers, the episode set a new ratings record for the network, besting previous record-holder AMERICA’S GOT TALENT (1.44 million/ Sept. 16, 2009). Hosted by Tom Bergeron and new co-host, Brooke Burke, the Season 10 premiere was the #1 program of the night on Canadian television. In the key Adult 18-49 and 25-54 demos the premiere delivered 832,000 and 816,000 viewers respectively.

| Sports Programming: Live Australian Football League Action on TSN2 in 2010 |

Beginning later this month, TSN2 heads down under for live coverage of the Australian Football League’s 2010 Premiership Season. The AFL features 16 teams from across Australia vying for the coveted premiership title. The 22-round regular season runs from March until August with the top eight teams qualifying for the four-week Finals Series in September culminating with the championship game, the AFL Grand Final. TSN2’s live coverage begins Friday, March 26 at 4:30 a.m. with a Round 1 match-up featuring the defending champion Geelong Cats taking on Essendon.

| General News: Bell Reacts To CRTC's Decision |

Bell is disappointed with today's decision by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to force satellite and cable companies to negotiate a fee with broadcasters for the mandatory carriage of local television signals that are already available for free over the air. Implementation of the regime will take effect if the Federal Court of Appeal determines the CRTC has the jurisdiction to impose its preferred regime.
