VisionTV kicks off its 20th anniversary season in September with a pair of programming events that demonstrate the scope of the channel’s multi-faith mission: a week-long series of specials on Islam – including the Canadian premiere of The Koran (see below) – to mark the beginning of Ramadan, and another week of specials devoted to Judaism, timed to coincide with the start of the Jewish High Holidays.
Other programming events in 2008-2009 will include a week of programming on the power and persistence of religious cults, and a lineup of outstanding Christmas specials for the entire family.

Kathy Dore, President, Canwest Broadcasting, along with Barbara Williams, Executive Vice President, Content, announced today the highly-anticipated 2008-2009 Primetime Schedules for the Global Television and E! networks. Direct from Toronto's historic Elgin Theatre, over 1500 advertisers, industry and press gathered earlier this morning to celebrate Canada's most talked-about fall lineups.

| Fall Highlights: Fall 2008 Schedules Announced for CTV and “A” |

CTV announced today the Fall 2008 schedule for CTV, Canada’s #1 network, along with the first ever cross-country, Fall 2008 Schedule for “A” (formerly A-Channel). Programmed to complement one another with more opportunities for viewers and advertisers, the two conventional schedules feature Canada’s most-watched programs, breakthrough freshmen hits and seven, new big buzz series. The two schedules will be presented at CTV Inc.’s 2008 Upfront Presentation this afternoon at Toronto’s Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts by Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc.
