Six will perform, but only one will win the title of Canada’s Favourite Dancer. For the first time in SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA history, it was announced live on CTV tonight that six dancers will remain in the competition to perform in next week’s final performance show. The Top 6 dancers are: CHRISTIAN Millette (28), a Ballroom dancer from Montreal, QC; JORDAN Clark (19), a Contemporary dancer from Tottenham, ON; LINDSAY Leuschner (19), a Contemporary dancer from Stouffville, ON; MATT Marr (20), a Contemporary from Quispamsis, NB; MELISSA Mitro (23), a Contemporary dancer from Richmond Hill, ON; and SHANE Simpson (24), a Jazz dancer from Thornhill, ON. With six dancers left standing, it was revealed that ADAM and DENITSA received the lowest number of votes and were eliminated from the competition. The Top 6 will take to the stage on Monday, September 5 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV, giving viewers one last opportunity to vote for their Favourite Dancer before the winner is revealed during the live two-hour finale on Sunday, September 11 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV (go to ctv.ca to confirm local listings).

CTV Ottawa’s local weekend information programs are getting a new look including changes to two of the most-watched shows in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. CTV NEWS AT SIX with Kimothy Walker will expand to a full-hour program on Saturdays, beginning Saturday, Sept. 10. And, beginning Sunday, Sept. 11, REGIONAL CONTACT will move from its 6:30 p.m. timeslot on Saturdays, to 6:30 p.m. on Sundays.

They are and will always remain, the HERO DOGS OF 9/11. Premiering Sunday, September 11 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, Animal Planet presents a one-hour documentary special that reveals the true stories of three survivors and the legacies of working dogs who saved these lives at Ground Zero during the September 11, 2001 crisis and aftermath. The Canadian-made special pays tribute to the 300-plus dogs that were part of the rescue and recovery operation. HERO DOGS OF 9/11 also features the heroic recovery story of the last remaining survivor who was found by dogs and pulled out of the rubble 27 hours after the WTC buildings collapsed on that fateful autumn day.
