Astral Media’s Family Channel today announced that it will launch its first on-demand service on Cogeco Cable on March 4, 2008. The new service will offer a minimum of 30 hours of programming from Disney, including Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, together with popular Canadian series such as Life With Derek and Naturally, Sadie. Family OnDemand will also offer entertaining and educational programming from Playhouse Disney, enabling young children and their families to enjoy such series as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and My Friends Tigger and Pooh whenever they want. The titles offered on Family OnDemand will be offered to Family Channel digital subscribers at no additional cost so kids can watch their favourite shows as often as they choose.

Buena Vista International Television (BVITV), the international TV distribution division of The Walt Disney Company, has concluded a multi-year video on demand movie rental agreement with Rogers Cable in Canada. For the first time, Rogers Personal TV customers with a digital box will be able to watch Disney live action and animated movies, on Rogers On Demand through their digital set top boxes in Ontario. This is The Walt Disney Company's first video on demand agreement in Canada and is in line with the Company's focus on the application of technology to enhance its content and expand its distribution.

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) and Rogers Cable today announced that Turner Classic Movies (TCM), which shows the greatest motion pictures of all time uncut and commercial-free, will be added to Roger's channel line-up beginning February 1, 2007. In addition, TCM will be made available to all subscribers via a free preview on December 23 and 24, 2006.
