Dead Like Me
New Series
(Broadcast Premiere) Mon. at 10pm ET/PT beginning Oct. 3
Georgia “George” Lass is a young college dropout who has no job skills and seems unable to take an interest in anything, including her own life. She cultivates an air of cynicism that infuriates her mother, baffles her father, and isolates her younger sister. When a piece of the MIR space station falls from the sky and kills her, George is catapulted into an after-life job as a Grim Reaper. This series from Showtime stars Ellen Muth, Mandy Patinkin, Jasmine Guy and Rebecca Gayheart.
It’s Me... Gerald
New Series(Canadian Premiere) Sun. at 9:30pm ET/PT beginning Sept. 4
A documentary crew follows the exploits of down-on-his-luck-but-ever-determined Canadian director Gerald L’Ecuyer. Gerald is willing to do anything to achieve his vision of a perfect stage production of Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabbler – stopping short of actually reading Ibsen’s play. He is always quick to exploit, borrow, and stretch the boundaries of reason in his quest to create art, stay ahead of creditors, and find love and meaning in his life. It’s Me... Gerald is a Showcase Original series consisting of six half-hour episodes.
Kenny vs. Spenny

Kenny vs. Spenny is a Showcase Original reality/comedy series that revolves around dysfunctional childhood friends – Kenneth Hotz and Spencer Rice – who battle against each other in hilarious and hardcore competitions with the loser having to perform an embarrassing and humiliating stunt. The boys are complete opposites and approach their insane competitions in different ways: Spenny believes in playing by the rules, while the wisecracking, scheming Kenny is a devious genius. Whether you cheer for the fiendish Kenny or the haplessly ethical Spenny, the show offers a surprisingly intelligent comedic take on the age-old struggle of good versus evil.

Starring Dylan McDermott and Julianna Margulies, The Grid follows a terrorist cell operating on a global level and a team of American and British counter-terrorists who are tasked with stopping it.

This Showcase Original series enters the labyrinth of the online adult entertainment industry by following a diverse cast of Internet entrepreneurs based in Montreal, one of the largest production centres in North America. From individuals who have made a small business using a home computer and a webcam to the high flyers who travel the world marketing and producing material for their Web sites, Webdreams follows a unique cast of characters who live their lives – even the private parts – on a very public electronic playing field. The series consists of 10 half-hour episodes.

After her husband’s unexpected death and subsequent financial woes, suburban mom Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise Parker) embraces a new profession: the neighborhood pot dealer. It seems that everyone secretly wants what she’s selling – even city councilman Doug Wilson (Kevin Nealon). Not wanting to disrupt her family life, Nancy works to maintain her “soccer mom” status and her involvement with the PTA while keeping her enterprise hidden from everyone, including her best friend Celia Hodes (Elizabeth Perkins). Denis Leary stars in this critically acclaimed FX series which follows a group of New York City firefighters as they face danger on a daily basis while coping with personal issues. In the second season opener, Tommy Gavin (Leary) is having nightmares about Franco’s injury, Janet’s departure, Sheila’s pregnancy, and even premonitions of his own death, while he’s living alone in an illegal East Village sublet after being transferred to Staten Island. Rescue Me airs exclusively on Showcase in Canada.
The L Word, Season Two
Returning Series
(Canadian Premiere) Thurs. at 10 pm ET/PT beginning Sept. 1
Currently the top-rated program on Showtime in the U.S., The L Word examines the romantic, professional and social exploits of a group of women – some straight, some gay – living in Los Angeles. Season Two opens with Tina (Laura Hollomon) rebuffing Bette’s (Jennifer Beals) attempts at reconciliation while Jenny (Mia Kirshner) prepares for an emotional farewell with Tim.
