This fall get your music and celebrity fix from CMT, Canada's only home of country music and entertainment news, celebrity close-ups, live performances and award show glitz. Beginning September 5, the CMT fall schedule offers up all this plus entertaining, family-friendly programming to the eight million households where CMT is broadcast. “Our new prime-time lineup really showcases CMT's broad range of programming,” said Casey Clarke , Director of Programming and Production at CMT. “Bookending prime time are our original programs, which speak to our expertise in music and our reputation as the destination of choice for the country music community. In between we have popular country lifestyle series the whole family can enjoy. It's an exciting lineup that balances the network's two priorities: music and entertainment.”
CMT produces over 220 hours of original programming each year. Leading this year's production slate are the third season of CMT Central, Canada's premier source for country entertainment news, music and stars (weeknights at 7 p.m.); The Wilkinson's – House Raising, a “fictionalized reality” series chronicling musical family the Wilkinsons' move from Nashville to small-town Canada; and CMT Star, an intimate lifestyle series focused on the passions and pastimes of country superstars. New to CMT this fall are Ed (weeknights at 8 p.m.) and Roseanne (weeknights at 9:30 p.m.), two celebrated series that join fan-favourite Reba (weeknights at 9 p.m. with new episodes Saturdays at 9 p.m.) to round out CMT's primetime schedule.
