Much More Music

Music nerds and random factoid know-it-alls rejoice! After a decade-long hiatus, POP UP VIDEO, the iconic series that brought viewers behind the music with 15-second intervals of ‘info nuggets’, returns Monday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on MuchMore. Featuring 60 brand-new half-hour episodes, the series dubbed as “brain candy for music nerds” returns with its familiar infectious theme song, witticisms and trivia, all set to the latest and greatest music videos.

Employing a crew of 25 researchers and writers to bring 300 clips to life, today’sPOP UP VIDEO features a new crop of chart-toppers including Justin Bieber’s “Somebody To Love”, Black Eyed Peas’ “My Humps”, Bruno Mars “Grenade”, and the queen of pop, Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends”. And keeping in synch with a tech-savvy generation, the videos integrate interactive elements including user polling and user-generated pop up content that will be reflected in the show.

POP UP VIDEO was created in 1996 by Woody Thompson and Tad Low. An instant pop culture hit, the “info nugget” music video show aired an impressive 209 episodes between 1996 and 2002, garnering critical acclaim across North America and spawning board games, books and television commercials. Thompson has signed on for the latest version of the series, this time as Executive Producer.
