Programming highlights for 2004-2005.
NHL Network continues to provide ‘round-the-clock hockey programming throughout the year, offering viewers complete and in-depth coverage of news, information, live look-ins to games in progress and extended highlights from around the National Hockey League.
NHL On The Fly
As the network’s signature show, NHL On The Fly airs live nightly, giving hockey fans live look-ins to every NHL game. Hosted by Dan Pollard and Todd Lewis, NHL On The Fly gets viewers in the game with extended highlights, interviews, pre- and post-game reports, news conferences and expert analysis from a variety of NHL veterans, including Gary Green and Dave Reid.
Molson That’s Hockey and Molson That’s Hockey 2
Molson That’s Hockey, a 30-minute panel show hosted by Gino Reda, airs weekdays at 7 p.m. ET and tackles the day’s most pressing hockey news and issues. Molson That’s Hockey 2, a 60-minute program delivering a final round-up of the night’s NHL action, airs nightly after NHL On The Fly and from 5 a.m. to 12 noon ET every morning. Hosts Dan Pollard and Todd Lewis are joined by analysts such as Gary Green and Dave Reid.
NHL ‘All Access’ Programming
NHL Network’s ‘all access’ programming, provided by NHL Productions, takes viewers behind the scenes of the NHL with an all-access pass to exclusive game coverage, player interviews and footage. On The Glass...At The 2004 Stanley Cup Finals debuts in September, showcasing the 2004 Stanley Cup Final with never-before-seen footage from a hand-held, ice-level camera. Additional ‘all access’ programming launching in September includes NHL All Access: 2004 NHL Draft, a behind-the-scenes look at the 2004 NHL Draft; NHL All Access: A Day With the Cup, an exclusive look at a player’s day with the Stanley Cup trophy; and NHL All Access: Sidney Crosby, an in-depth look at the on-ice and off-ice lifestyle of young Canadian hockey phenom Sidney Crosby.
Canadian Team Nights
From June through October, NHL Network will televise Canadian Team Nights every Monday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 12 midnight ET. Each night features a different Canadian NHL team – Montreal on Monday, Toronto on Tuesday, Vancouver on Wednesday, Edmonton on Thursday, Calgary on Friday and Ottawa on Saturday. Programming includes classic games and the popular shows Ice Level and Leaders of the Game.
Theme Weeks
NHL Network will highlight some of the NHL’s all-time greatest games with special theme weeks this fall, including Rivalry Week, Homecoming Week and Milestone Week.
Rivalry Week features the greatest NHL rivalries of all time.

· Tuesday, Sept. 14 – Soviet Red Army @ Montreal, New Year’s Eve, 1975

· Thursday, Sept. 16 – 1991 First Round Playoffs – Game 7, Edmonton @ Calgary
· Friday, Sept. 17 – 1996 Western Conference Final – Game 6, Detroit @ Colorado
Homecoming Week features NHL players’ first games against their former teams.
September 20 to 24 at 7 p.m. ET
· Monday, Sept. 20 – NHL Network's Greatest Games: Ray Bourque's return to Boston
· Tuesday, Sept. 21 – NHL Network's Greatest Games: Eric Lindros' return to Philadelphia
· Wednesday, Sept. 22 – NHL Network's Greatest Games: Wayne Gretzky's return to Edmonton
· Thursday, Sept. 23 – NHL Network's Greatest Games: Mark Messier's return to New York
· Friday, Sept. 24 – NHL Network’s Greatest Games: Alexei Kovalev’s return to Pittsburgh
Milestone Week features the most memorable milestones in NHL history.
September 27 to October 1 at 7 p.m. ET
· Monday, Sept. 27 – Magical Milestones: 1979 Montreal vs. New York Rangers – Canadiens win fourth straight Stanley Cup
· Tuesday, Sept. 28 – Magical Milestones: 1989 Los Angeles vs. Edmonton – Wayne Gretzky scores his 1,851st point
· Wednesday, Sept. 29 – Magical Milestones: 1993 Pittsburgh vs. New York Rangers – Penguins win 16th straight game
· Thursday, Sept. 30 – Magical Milestones: 2000 Colorado vs. Washington – Patrick Roy breaks all-time win record
· Friday, Oct. 1 – Magical Milestones: 2003 Toronto vs. Edmonton – Mats Sundin scores his 1,000th point
In addition, the entire 2004 Stanley Cup Playoffs will be re-broadcast on NHL Network from July 5 to August 29. NHL Network will also highlight the 2004 World Cup of Hockey from August 30 to September 14 with On The Fly: World Cup Report, a nightly recap of each night’s games.
Throughout the year, NHL Network will continue to televise international hockey, amateur hockey, player profiles, interview programs and youth-oriented shows.
Regular series include Hockey Academy, Leaders of the Game, Defining Moments and Ice Level.
