Untamed Heart

Adam (Christian Slater) is a shy and awkward busboy who saves waitress Caroline (Marisa Tomei) from being attacked on her way home from work one night. When the two fall in love, Caroline discovers that Adam has a heart defect and that he may not have long to live.
Home For The Holidays

Claudia Larson (Holly Hunter) loves her family – but that doesn’t mean she always likes them. Giving thanks is going to be a tall order this year when Claudia loses her job and flies home to attend her quirky family’s annual Thanksgiving gathering.

Under the magic of the full moon, an Italian-American family tries to overcome their romantic troubles and find happiness. Loretta Castorini’s (Cher) problem is that she is a widow who believes she must marry an older man (Danny Aiello) to be happy, but instead falls for his younger brother (Nicolas Cage). Cher received
a Best Actress Oscar® nomination for her role in the film.
IQ
(Network Premiere) Fall 2004
Albert Einstein (Walter Matthau) only wants his niece, Catherine (Meg Ryan), to be happy. His brilliant scientific mind concludes that auto mechanic Ed Walters (Tim Robbins) would be a perfect match for her, but she’s not so sure. To wear her down, Einstein decides to have Walters pretend that he, too, is a scientist.

Harrison Ford stars as Henry Turner, an ethically challenged business lawyer who is also a womanizer and a deadbeat dad. When a stray bullet puts him into a coma and erases most of his memory, he becomes a gentle, innocent man with

Andie (Molly Ringwald), a teenager who lives in a run-down part of town with her
terminally unemployed father (Harry Dean Stanton), and Blane (Andrew
McCarthy), a rich, sensitive and popular preppie, become attracted to one
another. Despite the fact that she’s going against her fretting father’s wishes,
Andie decides to date him. Also stars Annie Potts and James Spader.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Sept. 4 at 8pm ET
Determined to skip school, wise guy Ferris Bueller enlists the help of his
hypochondriac best friend to spring his girlfriend from class, and the three high
school students tear through downtown Chicago on a raucous adventure.
Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara, Alan Ruck and Jeffrey Jones star in this film
directed by John Hughes.
Indecent Proposal
Sept. 6 at 10pm ET
A young married couple (Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson) finds the perfect
spot to build their dream house. When the recession hits and they are in danger
of losing everything they own, they head to Las Vegas to win the money they
need. After losing at t he tables, they are approached by a rich bachelor (Robert
Redford) who offers the man a million dollars to sleep with his wife.
Breakfast Club
Sept. 12 at 8pm ET
When five teenagers – Andrew, the jock; Brian, the brain; John, the criminal;
Claire, the popular prom queen; and Allison, the basket case – are forced to
spend an entire Saturday in detention together, they form unlikely friendships that
could last a lifetime. Stars Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall,
Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson.
Say Anything
Sept. 26 at 8pm ET
Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack) is a charming under-achiever who falls desperately
in love with the class valedictorian, Diane Court (Ione Skye). Despite the opinions
of his classmates and friends, Lloyd pursues Diane and wins her heart. However,
just when love begins to blossom, family problems send Diane reeling and Lloyd
must convince her to let him get close enough to help her through her problems.
Shakespeare in Love
Oct. 7 at 8pm ET
A young Will Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) is not happy with his life – no love,
few friends and worst of all, he has writer’s block. Shakespeare auditions
Thomas Kent, a new actor who would be perfect in his play, but soon discovers
that Thomas is actually young Viola de Lesseps, a well-to-do lady in disguise
attempting to get around prudish Elizabethan laws which prohibit women from
performing on the stage. Things are further complicated when Shakespeare falls
in love with her, despite that fact that Viola is engaged to marry a lord.
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Oct. 8 at 8pm ET
A noncommittal Brit named Charles (Hugh Grant) meets Carrie (Andie
MacDowell), the American girl of his dreams, at a mutual friend’s wedding. The
two continue to cross paths and Charles proceeds to woo Carrie through one
funeral and three more weddings – one of which happens to be her own.
Flashdance
A Pittsburgh steel -mill welder by day and an exotic dancer by night, Alex Owens
(Jennifer Beals) dreams of a career in ballet. Along the road to self-discovery,
Alex struggles to accept love, comes to terms with her stubbornness and finds
the inner strength to turn her lofty dreams into reality.
An Ideal Husband
Lady Chiltern is a righteous woman whose handsome, loving husband, Sir
Robert Chiltern, has secured a dignified living as a politician. Meanwhile, his
womanizing best friend resists giving up bachelorhood and is amused by the
love-hate advances of Robert’s witty sister. Things take a turn for the worse
when an unexpected visitor arrives with evidence of a past mis deed that could
threaten Chiltern’s political career. Stars Cate Blanchett, Minnie Driver, Rupert
Everett, Julianne Moore and Jeremy Northam.
Muriel’s Wedding
Muriel (Toni Collette) is lonely and looking for love in all the wrong places while
being regularly belittled by her ghastly girlfriends and obnoxious, overbearing
father. When she reconnects with her old friend Rhonda (Rachel Griffiths), Muriel
finds the courage to move to Sydney and turn her world around.
Reality Bites
After graduating from college, a film major decides to make a video documentary
about her confused and struggling twenty-something friends to advance her
career in the entertainment industry. When a successful filmmaker becomes
romantically interested in her, she is forced to choose between him and her more
laid-back, philosophical boyfriend. Stars Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke and Ben
Stiller.

Showcase Diva relives the nostalgia of high school with films such as Pretty in
Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles and Say Anything.
British Babes
Oct. 2004
British babes are all the rage in this Showcase Diva festival featuring Joseph
Fiennes (Shakespeare In Love), Jude Law (Music From Another Room), Hugh
Grant (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Robson Greene (Close and True) and
Ewan McGregor (Brassed Off).
