The Movie Network Announces Fall 2010 Programming Lineup

With premiere access to Hollywood hit movies, new and exclusive HBO content, critically acclaimed Showtime series and first-rate Canadian programming, The Movie Network offers uncut and commercial-free programming 24-hours a day on five multiplex channels: M, HBO Canada, MExcess, MFun! and MFest. The Movie Network also offers The Movie Network HD, HBO Canada HD, MExcess HD and MFun! HD, and The Movie Network OnDemand and TMN OnLine.

Dexter (Season 5)
Premieres Sunday September 26, 2010 (12 x 60 min; drama)
Season 5 of Showtime’s popular drama series following Miami forensics expert by day/serial killer by night Dexter Morgan picks up where Season 4 left off: with Dexter attempting to pick up the pieces following his loving wife Rita’s horrific murder. Joining the cast for the new season is Julia Stiles, who appears as a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter in the wake of Rita’s death. Starring Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar, C.S. Lee and Lauren Velez.

Californication (Season 4)
Premieres Fall/Winter 2010 (12 x 30 min; comedy)
Showtime’s raunchy half-hour comedy starring Golden Globe®-winner David Duchovny as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody returns for a fourth season. Also starring Natasha McElhone, Evan Handler and Madeline Zima. Guest stars for Season 4 include Rob Lowe, Michael Ealy, Carla Gugino, Zoe Kravitz and Addison Timlin.

Oliver Stone’s Secret History of America (New)
Premieres Fall/Winter 2010 (10 x 60 min; documentary)
Academy Award®-winning director Oliver Stone produces, narrates, writes and directs this new, ten-part documentary series that chronicles unknown moments in U.S. history. The series will touch on the reasons behind the Cold War with the Soviet Union, U.S. President Harry Truman’s decision to drop the atomic bomb on Japan, and changes in America’s global role since the fall of Communism.
