Sportsnet at the NHL Trade Deadline
Posted on Thursday, February 26, 2004 - 06:02 PM
Rogers Sportsnets

It's the biggest news day of the year in the NHL and once again Rogers Sportsnet is the channel to watch. Our team breaks the news on the big trades you want to know about.

They have their usual stellar team of Darren Dreger, Daren Millard, John Garrett, Nick Kypreos and Bill Watters.

They have also added a couple of coaches to their coverage. Legendary coach Mike Keenan, a Sportsnet hockey analyst alumnus, will re-join the team. And Paul Maurice, former head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, will make his Hockeycentral debut. Not many know the NHL better than these two.

Since Rogers Sportsnet is a regional network, covering every one of Canada's six teams is what we do best. Their reporters will be standing by live with each team to provide instant reaction to any deals the Canadiens, Leafs, Senators, Flames, Oilers or Canucks make.

It begins in the morning on Sportsnetnews with Hazel Mae. If there's an early deal done, tune into the only sports morning show in the country. Plus the Hockeycentral Panel will make hourly appearances until their full-time coverage begins at Noon ET.

Following Hockeycentral at the Deadline, Sportsnetnews with Jim Van Horne and Jody Vance will be on the air for a special one hour national edition from 6-7pm ET. Plus the regular editions of Sportsnetnews can be seen on Sportsnet West at 6:30pm MT and on Sportsnet Pacific at 6:30pm PT.

To wrap up the day the final word on the trades goes to the 10pm edition of Sportsnetnews with Daren Millard and Mike Toth. (or Don Taylor at 10pm on Sportsnet Pacific)
