Viewers at home can roll out the orange carpet this Saturday, March 27 at 8 p.m. when Corus Entertainment’s Nickelodeon (Canada) brings Canadians the 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, broadcast live in Canada for the very first time. Hosted this year by movie and television star Kevin James, the slime will flow for the no-holds-barred mess-fest on the night kids rule and get to honour their favourite stars from the worlds of film, music, sports and television.

Delivering the stars that kids love, international superstar Rihanna and teen pop-sensation Justin Bieber will pump up the volume at the only award show that gives kids the power to vote for their favourite celebs. Kids began casting their votes online at nickcanada.com on February 25 in a total of 19 categories including Favourite TV Actress, Cutest Couple, Favourite Movie Actor, Favourite Reality Show and The Wannabe Award, given to the best celebrity role model.

A slate of Hollywood’s biggest stars from movies, music, television and sports will present live from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion. The must-see event of the year will feature Steve Carell (Date Night, The Office), Tina Fey (Date Night, 30 Rock), singer Katy Perry, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man 2), David Spade (Grown Ups), Cory Monteith (Glee), Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP), Lea Michele (Glee), Chris Rock (Grown Ups), Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga, The Last Airbender), Jaden Smith (The Karate Kid), Jonah Hill (Get Him To The Greek), Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender), Queen Latifah (Valentine’s Day), Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush, Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire The Last Airbender), Lily Collins (The Blind Side), Jackie Chan (Rush Hour 3), Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, Victoria Justice (Victorious) and George Lopez (The George Lopez Show).

This Saturday, March 27, nickcanada.com will serve as the interactive second-screen experience, giving kids an insider’s look at the entire live event from the orange carpet. Exclusive webcams will be featured alongside celebrity tweets, interactive polls, and real-time updates and photos.

YTV will repeat the broadcast of the Kids’ Choice Awards on Friday, April 2 at 7 p.m.

One of the world’s leading entertainment brands for kids, Nickelodeon (Canada) features a line-up of award-winning Nick properties, from current live-action comedies, animated favourites, special events such as the Kids’ Choice Awards, to classic hits, 24-hours-a-day. Putting kids first in everything it does, this service gives viewers more Nick more of the time. Visit nickcanada.com.
