Get Front Row Centre For Canadian Music Week with MuchMusic
Posted on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 - 06:06 PM
Much Music

MuchMusic has Canadian Music Week covered! Starting today, MuchMusic hits the streets to bring viewers the hottest happenings, from the clubs, concerts, and events across Toronto. Today until Friday, MuchMusic VJs chime in with more than a dozen live hits each evening from venues and events all over Toronto. They’ll also be tweeting up a storm and blogging about the Canadian Music Week excitement at muchmusic.com.

Kicking things off on Wednesday night, MuchMusic gets loud and becomes part of the show. The Gemini-nominated series DISBAND takes centre stage for a special three-band showcase at Tattoo Rock Parlour, hosted by MuchMusic VJ Jesse Giddings. Beginning at 9 p.m. ET, DISBAND bands Abandon All Ships, Good and Broken, and Pumps are set to rock out for all in attendance. Fans interested in attending can visit muchmusic.com for more details.

MuchMusic VJ Devon Soltendieck is also in the mix and gets set to introduce two of most anticipated speakers at the Canadian Music Week Conference. On Thursday, Mar. 11, Soltendieck gets things rocking by introducing guitar icon Saul Hudson – better know as Slash – who sits down for an interview with former MuchMusic VJ John “JD” Roberts. Then on Friday, Mar. 12 he kicks off another session by bringing to the stage English musician and acclaimed record producer, Dave Stewart from Eurythmics.

Throughout Canadian Music Week, artists and celebs from across the country drop by the legendary MuchMusic studio to gab with VJs about the week of excitement. As always, fans can join the party live in studio and via webcam, text, phone, and e-mail. For more information, hit up muchmusic.com.
