| Jazzman with Ross Porter comes to Cool TV |

Jazzland with Ross Porter debuts Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 9pm ET on CoolTV, Canada's only television channel devoted entirely to jazz. "This series is packed with great music, intimate interviews but, most importantly, it celebrates jazz," says Executive Producer and series host Ross Porter.
Veteran broadcaster Ross Porter hosts this half-hour magazine series featuring documentary- style interviews, music videos, and up-to-date news on the jazz scene. Jazzland with Ross Porter also offers performances from Canada's premiere jazz festivals and the world's top jazz performers.
In episode one of Jazzland with Ross Porter, Canadian singer/songwriter Holly Cole discusses her mentors, motivators and career plans. Canadian superstar Diana Krall is playful at the piano and Molly Johnson performs a single from her new CD. Episode two showcases the music of jazz greats Michael Buble, Denzal Sinclaire and Loston Harris.
Ross Porter is well known to Canadian jazz lovers for his distinguished career as a broadcaster for the CBC. He has produced widely acclaimed documentaries on such jazz greats as Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker and many others, as well as television documentaries on music legends Oscar Peterson, Joni Mitchell, Quincy Jones, George Harrison, Natalie McMaster and Diana Krall.
Jazzland with Ross Porter is produced in Winnipeg in association with MidCanada Entertainment and
produced by Kevin Dunn and written and directed by Derek Mazur.
