Much Music

Look out Whistler! MuchMusic announced today that VJs Sarah Taylor, Tim Deegan, B.C. native Jesse Giddings, and Liz Trinnear are about to tear up the town when they roar into Whistler as hosts of MOD LIVE @ THE BASE. The fearless foursome co-host the high-energy show airing February 12 to 28 at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT) and 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT). MuchMusic is also the proud exclusive broadcaster of the VANCOUVER 2010 CONCERT SERIES PRESENTED BY BELL, the official Vancouver and Whistler Victory Ceremony concerts, airing each night at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m. PT).

Taylor, Deegan, Giddings, and Trinnear bring fans the best stories and highlights of Vancouver 2010, their fave music videos, and appearances by the most sought after celebs, artists, and athletes in town. In its signature style, MuchMusic puts viewers at the centre of the action, whether fans are in the live audience or texting, phoning, e-mailing, or webcaming from home. With a hot tub, hot bods, and super hot guests, the temperature is guaranteed to rise at MOD HQ in the Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar & Grill in the heart of beautiful Whistler.

MOD LIVE @ THE BASE is also the exclusive broadcaster of the concerts from the Vancouver and Whistler Victory Ceremonies. The daily, 60-minute show, entitled VANCOUVER 2010 CONCERT SERIES PRESENTED BY BELL, features all the hottest A-List artists, including Nelly Furtado, Hedley, Billy Talent and more!

“We are so excited to be hitting Whistler in true MOD style!” said MuchMusic VJ Jesse Giddings. “As a B.C. native, I’m very proud to bring the Olympic Games spirit to our youth audience in this completely new, non-traditional way. For once in my life, February is going to be my favourite month of the year. Bring on the cold!”
