TVtropolis January Programming Highlights

New series joining TVTropolis this january include Parking Wars, Flipping Out, Launch My Line, Rescue Ink, Hoarders and more!

NEW SERIES:

Parking Wars (46x30min)
(Network Premiere)
Mondays at 8 pm, 8:30pm and midnight ET/PT beginning January 4
The series trails Philadelphia Parking Authority ticketing, booting and towing cars, as well as dealing with the issues that arise with the public when they try to retrieve their vehicles from the impound lots. Each episode consists of three segments, shown either in chronological order of a car entering the PPA violation system (ticket, boot/tow, impound).

Flipping Out (11x60min)
(Network Premiere)
Mondays at 9 pm and 1 am ET/PT beginning January 4
Following the antics of one of Los Angeles' most colourful real estate speculators Jeff Lewis, who makes his living with the help of a group of diverse and often disgruntled employees he counts as friends. It takes a special kind of personality to handle flipping six multimillion-dollar houses at one time, but Lewis, an obsessive compulsive successful businessman, pulls it off and turns a six-figure profit on every property.

Launch My Line (9x60min)
(Canadian Premiere)
Mondays at 10 pm and 2 am ET/PT beginning January 4
The newest fashion creative competition series hosted by acclaimed Canadian designers, twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten of DSQUARED², the series features 10 established fashion designers paired with 10 industry professionals, who are highly regarded in their own field of expertise, but have always dreamed of having their own clothing line. In the end, one team will be declared the winner and someone's clothing line will be launched.

Rescue Ink (6x60min)
(Canadian Premiere)
Tuesdays at 8 pm and 1 am ET/PT beginning January 5
A bunch of tattooed, motorcycle-riding tough guys join together to fight animal cruelty, educate abusers and help resolve situations other rescue groups can’t – or won’t – handle themselves. Some of the guys grew up in the projects, some had their brushes with the law and some used their smarts to survive, even thrive on the streets. Now they all share a common goal: Using every means within the thin boundaries of the law, they persuade and educate abusers about the right way to treat animals.

Dog Whisperer, Season 2 (20x60min)
(Network Premiere)
Tuesdays at 9 pm and 2 am ET/PT beginning January 5
The hit series follows well-respected animal behaviourist Cesar Millan as he works to help dogs with behaviour problems, and their human families. These problems range from excessive barking to behaviour, that if not corrected, could leave the owners little choice but to euthanize the dog. Mr. Millan describes his work as "rehabilitating dogs,” and training people. Dog owners can learn from him ways to establish a balanced relationship with their dogs that will help to prevent these problems.

Hoarders (20x60min)
(Network Premiere)
Wednesdays at 8 pm, 9 pm, 1 am and 2 am ET/PT beginning January 4
A fascinating look inside the lives of two different people whose inability to part with their belongings is so out of control that they are on the verge of a personal crisis. Whether they're facing eviction, the loss of their children or jail time, they are all desperately in need of help. In a fly-on-the-wall style the series captures the drama as experts work to put each on the road to recovery. At the end of each episode you will find out who has been able to keep their hoarding behaviour at bay and who, despite help, is still lost inside this painful disease.

Survivor, Season 20 (15x60min)

Saturdays at 7 pm ET/PT beginning February 2010
Season 20 will be one of the most exciting seasons yet, as 20 castaways will be left to fend for themselves among white sandy beaches, lush green valleys and towering waterfalls. Despite the picturesque landscape, the castaways will face exposure to elements and wildlife living in the mysterious rainforest. For 39 days, they will endeavour to outwit, outplay and outlast one another in order to win the title of sole Survivor.

Reality Obsessed, Season 2 (13x30min)

Thursdays at 10:30am and 7 pm ET/PT beginning January 7
Follow reality television fanatic Murtz Jaffer as he delves into the world of the hottest reality TV shows. Each episode of Reality Obsessed has Murtz on the hunt for answers to a particular ‘big picture’ question in the realm of reality television. He’ll explore the idea of finding a soul mate on TV; participate in a mini-survivor experiment with four former castaways and attempt to find his own new BFF amongst reality stars. It’s a full blown celebration of everything reality!

Six Degrees of TV (26x30min)
(Canadian Premiere)
Fridays at 7 pm ET/PT beginning January 8
Combining fascinating stories and little known facts, this series offers viewers a unique insight into their favourite stars. Each episode connects two celebrities through a series of connections with other famous faces. In the end, seven of the most notable pop culture celebrities are connected through an array of surprising stories and events. Then it’s time for the viewer to buckle up, as their taken on a fun and bumpy ride through the back lanes, backroom deals and bizarre connections that bring celebrities together, as revealing sidebar connections pop up along the way.
