CAPRICA premiering January 22

Before the Cylons blasted civilization into war in BSG, the battle to save the human spirit was anchored on land. On Friday, Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. ET, a new chapter of sci-fi drama unfolds with the highly-anticipated series CAPRICA, exclusively on SPACE. CAPRICA explodes onto the airwaves with a two-hour premiere at a special time of 9 p.m. ET, with the rest of the saga unfolding at its regular prime-time slot at 10 p.m. ET. And with spacecast.com offering sneak peeks, exclusive interviews and online forums, SPACE and its legion of passionate sci-fi fans are centre stage for the next cultural phenomenon. Following CAPRICA, join SPACE’s on-air, sci-fi experts Teddy, Ajay and Natasha of InnerSPACE at 11 p.m. ET. for the post-show banter.

Set 58 years before BSG’s galactic war, CAPRICA follows two rival families, the Graystones and the Adamas. Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) is a computer genius and a prominent businessman in the Twelve Colonies. His wife, Amanda Graystone (Paula Malcolmson) is an elite neurosurgeon. Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) is an immigrant, a lawyer with ties to the mob, and a father desperate to reconnect with his estranged son, William (Sina Najafi). Bound, and then divided by tragedy, their bitter rivalry brings the end of life as they know it.

As television’s first sci-fi drama about a family, CAPRICA explores moral conflict and betrayal in a techno-obsessed society.
