CTV Programming Highlights, November 2-14

CTV’s November schedule kicks off with the series premiere of V starring Canada’s own Laura Vandervoort. The drama continues to escalate with all-new episodes of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, GREY’S ANATOMY, FLASHPOINT, THE AMAZING RACE and the first-ever CSI trilogy crossover.

Programming highlights for November 2 – 14 on CTV include:

* The Visitors come to Earth on the highly anticipated series premiere of V (Nov. 3)
* It’s Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) birthday on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (Nov. 5)
* Sgt. Parker’s (Enrico Colantoni) life is in peril and Team One races to save him on FLASHPOINT (Nov. 6)
* Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) have suspicions of who attacked Julie (Andrea Bowden) on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (Nov. 8)

Monday, November 2

8 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – ALL-NEW TWO-HOUR PERFORMANCE EPISODE
Seven couples remain as the competition heats up and they dance their hearts out.

10 p.m. – CSI: MIAMI – “Dude, Where’s My Groom?” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The CSIs recreate a night of bachelor party debauchery in order to solve a murder and find a missing groom.

Tuesday, November 3

8 p.m. – V – “Pilot” – SERIES PREMIERE
When an alien race, The Visitors, suddenly arrive on earth promising peace, happiness, and hope for all man-kind, it’s an offer that seems too good to ignore. But, not everyone’s a believer. An image of Anna (Morena Baccarin), the leader of the V’s, is projected worldwide as she speaks about the World no longer being divided by country or separated by fear. She wants the world to unite, and is counting on a very important component of human nature - devotion. Tyler (Logan Huffman) can’t resist the lure of Visitor Lisa (Laura Vandervoot) and goes behind his mother’s back to join the V’s recruitment program. Chad (Scott Wolf) lands his first exclusive interview with Anna and Father Jack (Joel Gretsch) is hesitant to believe in the Visitors’ righteousness, going outside of the church in search of the truth. Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) discovers, while investigating a terrorist cell, what lurks beneath the alarmingly human exterior of the Visitors.

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – ALL-NEW RESULTS EPISODE
Another couple is eliminated from the competition, leaving just six in the race for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Users” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
After a crime scene photo of a murdered teenage girl rapidly becomes an Internet phenomenon, the police initiate an investigation with the victim’s father, Greg Dunne (guest star James Colby, AS THE WORLD TURNS). When Greg points the detectives towards Martin Gold (guest star James Frain, THE TUDORS), his daughter’s suspicious therapist, it turns out that Gold’s alibi is airtight. The case takes an unexpected turn, revealing a sinister prescription for murder at the hands of unlikely suspects.

Wednesday, November 4

8 p.m. – AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL – “Dive Deeper” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The ladies explore the cliffs of Hawaii and are forced to strike a modelesque pose while jumping into the water. Later the girls learn to pose while deep in the Pacific Ocean. Supermodel Marisa Miller is this week’s guest judge.

9 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “The Eyes Have It” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The BAU team tracks a serial killer who keeps the eyes of his victims as souvenirs.

10 p.m. – CSI: NY – “It Happened to Me” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
When a software company executive bleeds to death on a Manhattan street, the CSIs must delve into the wet and messy world of food “sploshing” parties to find his killer.

Thursday, November 5

7 p.m. – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – “162 Candles” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
On his birthday, Stefan (Paul Wesley) is surprised by a visit from Lexi (guest star Arielle Kebble, GILMORE GIRLS), one of his oldest friends. Still upset by the events at the Halloween haunted house, Elena (Nina Dobrev) does her best to stay away from Stefan, but Lexi gives her some unsolicited relationship advice. Meanwhile, at Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) insistence, Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to get his medallion back from Bonnie (Katerina Graham).

8 p.m. – CSI – “Death and the Maiden” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The CSIs discover that two apparently unrelated crimes are actually parts of the same twisted revenge plot.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Invest in Love” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
A generous donation is offered to Seattle Grace by the parents of Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) 10-year-old patient. However, when his condition worsens, she finds herself in a conflict of interests. Meanwhile, Cristina (Sandra Oh) tests her boundaries with Owen (Kevin McKidd) at the hospital, and adding insult to injury, Alex (Justin Chambers) is left with all of Izzie’s (Katherine Heigl) hospital bills to contend with.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “Black Gold and Red Blood” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Even after Bosco (Terry Kinney) arrests Jane (Simon Baker) and puts him in prison for spying on him, Jane is able to help the CBI team from his cell to solve the murder of a young man.

Friday, November 6

8 p.m. – GHOST WHISPERER – “Devil’s Bargain” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Jim (David Conrad), surprised by his colleague’s nonchalance to a paranormal encounter, suspects that he is involved in a med student’s sudden disappearance. Meanwhile, Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) senses trouble when Aiden (Connor Gibbs) continues to mention his fear of ‘the shadows’.

9 p.m. – MEDIUM – “New Terrain” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
When Allison’s car is wrecked, the SUV she rents turns out to have some unusual features, including a satellite radio that allows her to hear other people’s conversations.

10 p.m. – FLASHPOINT – “You Think You Know Someone” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Sgt. Parker (Enrico Colantoni) receives a message from Hayley Brynne (guest star Jordana Largy, Run Rabbit Run), a young girl he has helped since her mother was killed in a police raid years ago. When he shows up to meet Hayley he’s attacked by Kevin (guest star Brendan Fletcher, Freddy vs. Jason), her jealous ex-boyfriend. Kevin is convinced that Parker is the one who shot Hayley’s mother years ago and is determined to expose the truth to Hayley even if it costs Parker his life. Meanwhile Team One is hot on the trail, desperate to locate Parker before it’s too late.

Saturday, November 7

7 p.m. – W5 – “Parental Alienation/U-Boat” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
W5 takes an in-depth look at how spouses turn their kids against one after marriage breakup.

Sunday, November 8

7 p.m. – DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION – “Waiting for a Girl Like You” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
It’s Matchmaker week at Degrassi and Declan’s (Landon Liboiron) not interested in a serious relationship. But when he sets his sights on Holly J (Charlotte Arnold) as his next romantic victim, he is surprised to find she’s immune to his charms. Meanwhile, when Leia (Judy Jiao) corners Chantay (Jajube Mandiela) about her rocky relationship with Danny (Dalmar Abuzeid), Chantay is torn because she’s secretly liked him forever.

7:30 p.m. – DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION – “Somebody” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Against all odds, Holly J (Charlotte Arnold) has fallen for Declan (Landon Liboiron). Suddenly she gets what everyone’s been so excited about for so long. Feeling this way about a boy, who feels the same way, gets Holly J to act outside of her comfort zone. Will Holly J’s relationship jeopardize her ‘Type A’ life?

8 p.m. – THE AMAZING RACE – “I’ve Ever Done in My Life” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The teams trek through Sweden hoping to avoid elimination, all the while dodging roadblocks and looking for detours.

9 p.m. – DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – “Careful the Things You Say” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Angie (Drea de Matteo) invites a reluctant Bree (Marcia Cross) and Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) to dinner and Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) struggles to home school Juanita (Madison De La Garza). Meanwhile, Susan (Teri Hatcher) thinks Katherine (Dana Delany) is Julie’s (Andrea Bowden) assailant but Lynette (Felicity Huffman) has her own suspicions as to who attacked Julie.

10 p.m. – COLD CASE – “Dead Heat” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The team investigates the murder of an accomplished 45-year-old Mexican-born jockey who disappeared within hours of losing a race he’d long planned as his last before retirement.

Monday, November 9

8 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – ALL-NEW TWO-HOUR PERFORMANCE EPISODE
The couples leave their hearts on the dance floor as they hope to stay in the competition.

10 p.m. – CSI: MIAMI – “Bone Voyage” – PART 1 OF 3 ALL-NEW CROSSOVER EPISODES
In Part 1 of the first-ever CSI trilogy crossover, Horatio Caine (David Caruso) calls Las Vegas CSI Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) to come to Miami when a severed leg found in the Everglades is discovered to belong to a girl who went missing in Las Vegas a week earlier.

Tuesday, November 10

8 p.m. – V – “There is No Normal Anymore” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), having quickly determined they’re both against the arrival of the Visitors, suddenly find themselves being tracked by a ‘Seeker’ from the V’s. Meanwhile Chad (Scott Wolf) looks to pick himself up and becomes more investigative in his next newscast.

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – ALL-NEW RESULTS EPISODE
One more couple is eliminated leaving five couples left vying for the Mirror Ball Trophy.

10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Turmoil” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
After risqué photos of a 15-year-old rape victim (guest star Shana Dowdeswell, LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT) are leaked onto the internet, Detectives Stabler and Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) case becomes much more complicated. As the detectives’ case slowly morphs into an investigation by the State Bar, Stabler’s son (recurring guest star Jeffrey Scaperrotta) becomes entangled in a streak of compromising events at the hands of his best friend.

Wednesday, November 11

10 a.m. – THE SCOTIABANK GILLER PRIZE
Hosted by CANADA AM’s Seamus O’Regan, the 16th anniversary of the prestigious literary award recognizes the best in Canadian writing. From the ballroom of Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel, this celebratory black-tie affair will also see two encore presentations airing Wednesday, November 11 at 2 p.m. ET and Saturday, November 14 at 5 p.m. ET.

8 p.m. – AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL – “Hawaiian Hip Hop” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The final four girls learn some hip hop hula moves before channeling Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, during this week’s photo shoot. Jay reveals that two girls will be sent home in this week’s elimination and the guest judge is Seventeen Magazine editor-in-chief Ann Shoket.

9 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “The Performer” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The BAU team follows a trail of murders that seems to align with the tour schedule of a rock star (guest star musician Gavin Rossdale).

10 p.m. – CSI: NY – “Hammer Down” – PART 2 OF 3 ALL-NEW CROSSOVER EPISODES
In Part 2 of the first-ever CSI trilogy crossover, a big rig accident results in the discovery of an interstate trucking ring that specializes in human cargo and black market organ harvesting and sets off a race against time to save a hostage.

Thursday, November 12

7 p.m. – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – “History Repeating” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) gets a break from the mysterious new history teacher, Alaric Saltzman (guest star Matt Davis, Legally Blonde) and introduces Alaric to Jenna (Sara Canning). Despite Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) efforts to smooth things over, Bonnie and Caroline (Candice Accola) continue to argue over the medallion. When the girls hold a séance to help them decide what to do, the results are stranger than any of them expected; and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finally reveals to Stefan (Paul Wesley) the stunning reason he has returned to Mystic Falls.

8 p.m. – CSI – “The Lost Girls” – PART 3 OF 3 ALL-NEW CROSSOVER EPISODES
In the final part of the first-ever CSI trilogy crossover, the CSI team helps Langston (Laurence Fishburne) investigate a prostitution ring that may have harboured a hostage Langston has been looking for in Miami and New York.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “New History” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
When Owen (Kevin McKidd) recruits his fellow Iraqi War vet, Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver, LIPSTICK JUNGLE), as the new cardiothoracic surgeon, Cristina (Sandra Oh) questions Teddy’s abilities in the OR and the nature of their past relationship. Meanwhile, Izzie (Katherine Heigl) returns to Seattle Grace with her high school mentor seeking treatment for his dementia, and the stress of Richard’s (James Pickens Jr.) responsibilities, post-merger, are taking their toll.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “Throwing Fire” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
While Jane (Simon Baker) and the team examine the crime scene where a baseball scout is found murdered, Jane is clocked in the head by a ball and flashes back to his childhood with his overbearing father.

Friday, November 13

8 p.m. – GHOST WHISPERER – “Dead Listing” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is pulled into a murder mystery by a real estate power couple when a ghost leads her to his own corpse.

9 p.m. – MEDIUM – “Once in a Lifetime” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
In this episode directed by David Arquette, Allison (Patricia Arquette) fears the worst about Ariel’s (Sofia Vassilieva) new boyfriend when she suspects him of murdering a man. Also, Bridgette (Maria Lark) posts embarrassing videos of a man on the Internet and gets into trouble.

10 p.m. – FLASHPOINT – “The Good Citizen” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
The SRU is called in when a gun is fired in a local bar and two local drug dealers have been beaten up. The team quickly learns that the drug dealers were terrorizing the owner of the bar (guest star Fulvio Cecere, INTELLIGENCE) and that a good citizen came to his rescue. The team identifies the good citizen as Robert Cooper (guest star Alex Carter, CSI), the president of the neighborhood guard association. When Cooper goes after and shoots one of the dealers, the team fear that Cooper is taking the law into his own hands and becoming a vigilante. The team must race to protect the dealers and save Cooper from himself.

Saturday, November 14

7 p.m. – W5 – “Lyme Disease/Funeral Home Horror” – ALL-NEW EPISODE
W5 explores the horror behind funeral homes that have mistakenly mixed-up bodies.
