Ghosts, Zombies, Scooby...Oh My! October TELETOON Highlights

Teletoon

Vampires, ghosts and mysteries abound on TELETOON from Monday, October 19 when themed Halloween programming takes over 3 Hours of Awesome every weekday and turns weekends into Creepends. Spooky Scooby-Doo specials and creepy movies including The Halloween Tree and Beetlejuice appear throughout the schedule alongside themed episodes of TELETOON favourites such as 6TEEN, Johnny Test and Majority Rules. On October 31, viewers can get an extra dose of Halloween with a 13-episode marathon of 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo airing from noon to 6pm.

Earlier in the month, TELETOON celebrates Thanksgiving on Monday, October 12 with special programming airing throughout the day including Charlotte’s Web and the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Movie.

3 Hours of Really, Really, Really spooky episodes

On Thursday, October 22 and Thursday, October 29 starting at 6pm, 3 Hours of Really, Really, Really Awesome gets a Halloween makeover. In part one of a two-part Majority Rules Halloween special airing at 8:30 pm on October 22, Becky suspects that City Hall may be haunted so she hosts an all-night Halloween party to figure out what’s going on. Fans can catch part two on Thursday, October 29 at 8:30pm.

Also on October 22, viewers can tune in to special episodes of Jimmy Two Shoes at 6pm and Johnny Test at 6:30pm. In 6TEEN: Dude of the Living Dead at 7:30 pm, strange things are happening at Galleria Mall. The gang soon realizes that their beloved shopping centre has been overtaken by zombies and it’s up to them to save the day in this hour-long Halloween special. On Thursday, October 29 at 8 pm, Jonesy hosts a spooky movie marathon in another special Halloween episode of 6TEEN.

Scooby is all over TELETOON this October

On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the Halloween schedule, viewers can catch back-to-back Scooby-Doo specials in 3 Hours of Awesome from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders at 6pm

There’s more Scooby fun to be had on Halloween day, when TELETOON broadcasts a 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo marathon from 12pm to 6:30pm on October 31.

Every Thursday in October, a spooky new Scooby game will debut on teletoon.com. These Halloween-themed games include Scooby-Doo: 1000 Graveyard Dash, Scooby-Doo: Mystery Machine Street Race and Scooby-Doo: Wack a Ghost.

TELETOON Creepends

TELETOON ramps up the Halloween action with full-day themed programming on Saturday, October 24, Sunday, October 25 and Saturday, October 31. Called Creepends, these weekends on TELETOON feature back-to-back Halloween programming from 7 am to 9 pm.

The TELETOON Big Ticket Movie on Saturday, October 24 is Beetlejuice, Tim Burton’s classically creepy tale starring Winona Ryder, Alex Baldwin and Michael Keaton. Viewers can catch the movie again on Sunday, October 25 at 1 pm.

In The Halloween Tree, the TELETOON Big Ticket Movie at 7pm on October 31, four friends learn about the origins of Halloween while on an epic journey to save their friend’s life. This 1993 animated film starring Leonard Nimoy and based on a short story by Ray Bradbury also airs on Saturday, October 24 at 1 pm.

Laughs turns to shrieks in special Creepend editions of the Laugh Riot Movie this October. Shaggy and the gang head to New England and end up embroiled in the mystery of a ghost that haunts the area on Saturday, October 31 in Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost at 9 am. On Saturday, October 31 at 9 am, Daffy is being haunted by a pesky ghost, so he forms an anti-spectral squad in Daffy Duck and the Quackbusters.

Viewers can also catch special Halloween episodes of TELETOON shows throughout the Creepend. George contends with zombies and a new phobia in George of the Jungle on Saturday October 24 at 7:30 am and Sunday October 31 at 7am. In Wayside, a costume party leads to a case of mistaken identity for Maurecia on Saturday, October 24 at noon. The episode also airs on Saturday, October 31 at 7:30 am.

Thanksgiving

On Monday, October 12, viewers can tune in to TELETOON for special Thanksgiving Day programming from 9am to 2:30pm. Included in the lineup are two Thanksgiving specials: Bugs Bunny’s Thanksgiving Diet and Daffy Duck's Thanks-for-giving Special, which air back-to-back starting at noon.

Wilbur the Pig is in trouble, and it’s up to Charlotte the Spider and a young girl named Fern to save him in

Charlotte’s Web, an animated family film starring Dakota Fanning and Julia Roberts. The movie kicks off the special Thanksgiving Day programming at 9am.

In Bugs Bunny’s 1001 Rabbit Tales at 10:30 am, Bugs and Daffy Duck, both employees of "Ramblin House Publishing Company," engage in a fierce book-selling battle that takes them around the world. At 1pm, Bugs Bunny presents the best of the Looney Tunes cartoons from years past in the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Movie, featuring voices by Mel Blanc.
