This October, CosmoTV is full of fashion, fun and fright. Spend Thanksgiving afternoon in style with the fashionable Rachel Zoe for a marathon of Season 1 of The Rachel Zoe Project leading up to the premiere of the brand new second season. Plus, viewers can enjoy the School is Hell movie marathon on Halloween with the premiere of The Craft starring Robin Tunney and Neve Campbell and other great movies all month long including the premiere of Starter for Ten, the romantic comedy starring James McAvoy.
THE RACHEL ZOE PROJECT SEASON 2 – PREMIERE
The second season of the fashion-forward series The Rachel Zoe Project is all about business, fashion and drama. This season delves even deeper into the inner workings of Hollywood’s hottest fashion stylist as Rachel Zoe and her team jet from coast to coast throwing charity auctions, attending store openings and labouring to find the perfect gowns to adorn the red carpet during award season. Viewers can follow Rachel Zoe and her trusted inner circle – husband Rodger Berman, styling associate Taylor Jacobson and her small-town Ontario assistant, Brad Goreski in Season 2 of The Rachel Zoe Project premiering Monday, October 12 at 8 p.m.
In the first episode, Rachel has been charged with the task of styling five of Hollywood’s hottest stars to grace the 2009 Golden Globes red carpet. The team works around the clock to hunt down the best dresses for A-list stars Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Debra Messing and Eva Mendes.
Before the premiere of Season 2, CosmoTV is celebrating Thanksgiving Day with a Rachel Zoe Season 1 marathon, airing from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 12.
THE BACHELORETTE SEASON 5 – PREMIERE
CosmoTV is giving viewers a chance to catch Canadian Jillian Harris in The Bachelorette. Jillian is a home-grown singleton from Peace River, Alberta who’s lucky enough to have 30 men – five more than previous seasons – compete for her affections. Jillian nearly found love in the 13th season of The Bachelor but wasn’t chosen in the final episode and now it’s her time to do the choosing. Audiences can tune in to watch Jillian find her dream man in Season 5 of The Bachelorette beginning Monday, October 12 at 10 p.m.
SCHOOL IS HELL MOVIE MARATHON
On Saturday, October 31, CosmoTV honours Halloween with an afternoon and evening dedicated to four scary school-themed movies from noon to 9 p.m.
First up at noon is the film Satan’s School for Girls starring Shannon Doherty, which follows a young girl who enrols at the New England College in order to investigate her sister’s suicide. She’s quickly lured into witchcraft by four students who want her to be part of their inner, evil circle.
Then, at 2 p.m., The Initiation of Sarah follows Sarah Goodwin (Mika Boorem), a young woman with mysterious powers, and her normal sister Lindsay (Summer Glau) as they go off to college and enter sorority life. They get more than they bargained for when they find themselves pulled into the middle of an ancient battle between good and evil.
At 4 p.m. viewers can follow a family of witches in the spell-binding movie Practical Magic. The Owens sisters, Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian (Nicole Kidman), struggle to use their hereditary gift for practical magic to overcome a family curse of finding and keeping true love.
Concluding the movie event is the premiere at 6:30 p.m., of the thriller The Craft, where new-in-town Sarah Bailey (Robin Tunney) befriends the outcast group of girls at her Catholic high school. Together, the four girls dabble in witchcraft casting spells which start to go terribly wrong.
