Starchoice Expands its Channel Lineup Again
Posted on Thursday, July 31, 2003 - 04:37 PM
Star Choice

As previously reported, August 1st was set as the launch date for CHUM's Court TV Canada on Starchoice and Shaw Digital cable services. Also launching on August 1st, without as much heralding, is Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).

EWTN, or the Global Catholic Network as it is also known, will be available at Channel 559 on the StarChoice dial. Current Starchoice subscribers will receive the service to preview for free for the next 30 days. After the 60 day free trial EWTN will be available as a standalone service for $2.99 a month.
The addition of Court TV Canada and EWTN marks the fourth addition of new channels to the StarChoice dial since April. New channels were announced as 'coming' through a press release issued at the beginning of April but few specifics were offered. With the launch of Craig Media's Stampede and Toronto 1 services imminent and the 'softening' of relations between Shaw and CHUM, StarChoice subscribers no doubt can look forward with certainty to more new services on their dial before the end of the year.

More information can be found at their website.
