| Fall 2003 Highlights: Discovery Kids |

Highlights for the 2003-2004 season. New additions include "Trading Spaces: Boys vs Girls", Timeblazers, Prehistoric Planet.
As the leading kids’ digital channel, Discovery Kids launches six informative and entertaining series that showcase the best of reality based programming and real world entertainment for kids. Highlights of the new schedule include Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls, from the producers of the hit series Trading Spaces; Timeblazers, a live action series that turns history upside down, bringing the past into the present; and Prehistoric Planet, based on the Discovery Channel’s award-winning series Walking With Dinosaurs, narrated by Ben Stiller. Other new programs joining the schedule are Adventure Camp, Endurance and Operation Junkyard.

Trading Spaces:Boys vs.Girls
Teams of two boys and two girls are given a two-day challenge of trading rooms with friends and redecorating them with a $5,000 budget and a “the sky is the limit”imagination.With the help of a hip designer and carpenters,these kids put their friendship and creativity to the test in the new reality series:Trading Spaces:Boys vs.Girls,from the producers of the hit series,Trading Spaces.
Prehistoric Planet
The dinosaurs and prehistoric beasts that ruled the earth for millions of years come back to life with this new series created just for kids.Based on the Discovery Channels'award-winning series Walking With Dinosaurs and its sequel,Walking With Prehistoric Beasts and originally produced in conjunction with the BBC,this new series is repackaged for kids by blending new narration from actor Ben Stiller,graphics and facts.Using extraordinary computer animation,Prehistoric Planet follows the stories of dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts,recreating the sights and sounds of the prehistoric world,shedding new light on the fantastic creatures that inhabited earth long ago.
Timeblazers
History takes an offbeat twist in Timeblazers,as 13-year-old Shakira (Jasmine Richards)and a pair of globetrotting daredevil historians, Sam (Mike Ackerman)and Jen (Heidi Leigh),spin through the ages bringing the past to the present.While Shakira ponders the mysteries behind her hip,urban existence,Sam and Jen embark on a string of wild escapades to show how castle moats became the precursors to modern disposal systems and how the concept of home security started with cavemen.
