TSN

Fore! TSN has teed up another impressive slate of golf coverage for 2009, beginning this weekend with the PGA TOUR’s FBR OPEN. Once again, TSN is the home of all four majors with exclusive live Canadian coverage of each round from the U.S. OPEN, BRITISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP and PGA CHAMPIONSHIP and all four rounds of THE MASTERS including live weekday-round coverage. Other highlights include the 100th RBC CANADIAN OPEN and the biennial PRESIDENTS CUP.

In addition to the extensive coverage on the main network, TSN2 complements TSN’s golf schedule with exclusive live Canadian coverage of the final round of each of the PEBBLE BEACH NATIONAL PRO-AM, SENIOR BRITISH OPEN, RICOH WOMEN’S BRITISH OPEN, U.S. SENIOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP, and THE BARCLAYS CLASSIC.

Coverage on TSN gets underway this weekend with the PGA TOUR’s FBR OPEN from Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday, Jan. 31 and Sunday, Feb. 1 beginning at 3 p.m. ET both days. Additional coverage on this season includes weekday rounds from the 100th RBC CANADIAN OPEN taking place at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, ON. The Canadian Open is the second-oldest stop on the PGA TOUR and the third-oldest national championship in the world.

TSN will also have complete exclusive Canadian coverage of the PRESIDENTS CUP from October 8 to 11. This biennial match play tournament pits 12 of the best American players, led by captain Fred Couples, against Greg Norman’s international team featuring 12 of the top golfers from around the world.

Golf fans can catch all the latest news and highlights from around the world of golf on SPORTSCENTRE, TSN’s flagship news and information program. TSN’s resident golf expert, Bob Weeks, will be on hand throughout the season with analysis and insights on this year’s biggest stories.

TSN.ca will also follow all the results and storylines from the 2009 golf season online. Fans on-the-go can access all the golf news they need on TSN Mobile – the portable version of TSN’s industry-leading sports website, TSN.ca, accessible on any wireless device with Internet capabilities.
