Fall 2003 Highlights: OLN

New logo. New tagline. And a fresh on-air presentation style all set to debut July 5. OLN revealed today a 2003-04 schedule filled with adventurous events including the Calgary Stampede, Tour de France, Pilot Guides and award-winning documentaries that allow viewers to experience the great outdoors 24 hours a day.


“Out You Go” with OLN’s following new programs in 2003-04:

Urban Nites
OLN takes a walk on the wild side this September with the new reality series Urban Nites. Shot on location in Montreal, this 10-episode docudrama hits the streets to capture the seedier side of urban life after dark.

World’s Best
Seen it. Done it. Been there. For every viewer who would like to see the best, do the best or visit the best, OLN’s new series World’s Best is for them. Premiering in September, this entertaining and engaging program features episodes such as the World’s Best Creepiest Destination, the World’s Best Places to Propose, the World’s Best Places to Experience Extreme Weather and the World’s Best Places to Pig Out.

Scooter Trash
This September on OLN, follow the adventures of two young, athletic and attractive women as they travel across Canada on their motorcycles in search of the ultimate adventure sport experience. Scooter Trash, a half-hour 13-part series, presents a unique two-wheeled approach to the discovery of both extreme sports and Canada’s beautiful and rugged raw terrain.

Red Light Districts
Red Light Districts, premiering on OLN in September, explores the underside of cities around the world through the eyes of real life travellers. Each 30-minute episode features a new destination and new group of fearless explorers, attempting to discover what lies beneath the surface of both the city and their own personalities. Red Light Districts also reveals the intriguing sub-cultures present in these cities, including dancers, street walkers, bartenders and bouncers.

Rescue X
This October on OLN, viewers can tune in to Rescue X and follow the Extrication World Challenge 2003, a competition involving 30 international extrication championship teams in Ottawa, Ont. The 13-episode series features the firefighters competing in a series of challenging events, including rescuing live victims trapped in crushed vehicles and operating unique tools and heavy hydraulic equipment.
