Super Channel and Super U have teamed up to bring Canadians a glimpse of the provocative Crash series, inspired by the Academy Award-winning Best Motion Picture of the same name, by showing the first episode in its entirety online.
“We’re pleased to offer Canadians a window to catch this innovative series online so they can get a taste of the type of fresh entertainment Super Channel is offering,” said Sandy Perkins, Super Channel Vice president of Programming. “We hope they’ll like what they see and join us for all of the 13-part drama series.”
“Super U, through its partnership with Super Channel, is happy to offer the first full episode of Crash to all Canadians,” said Clare Hodge, Super U Creative Manager. “Super U is committed to being a destination for viewers to see the latest Canadian content. Filmmakers who upload their emerging content will have the opportunity to have it showcased next to this Super Channel exclusive.”
Crash stars Dennis Hopper and explores the complexities of social and racial tolerance and the meaning of the American dream through characters whose lives intersect and collide as they strive to achieve that dream in Los Angeles California. The production team headed by writer/executive producer Glen Mazzara (The Shield) includes executive producers Bob Yari, Bobby Moresco and Paul Haggis and co-executive producers Don Cheadle, Tom Nunan and Mark R. Harris – part of the group behind the Oscar-winning movie.
Super Channel will premiere the Crash series on its premium pay television network with a double episode Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. ET.
