Get an up-close and personal glimpse into the life of international fashion titan Karl Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld Confidential makes its Canadian television premiere Tuesday, October 21 at 10 p.m. ET exclusively on FashionTelevisionChannel.
Lagerfeld Confidential is an intimate portrait into the life of one of the most widely recognized and influential designers of the 20th century. Ten years in the making, three years of filming, and more than 300 hours of video footage later, comes this first official authorized biography on the enigmatic star. Written and directed by Rodolphe Marconi, the filmmaker was granted unprecedented access to Lagerfeld’s professional and private worlds. The documentary also features cameo appearances by Nicole Kidman, Anna Wintour, and Princess Caroline of Monaco.
Airing during Toronto L’Oréal Fashion Week, the 90-minute film takes viewers into Lagerfeld’s home in Paris. Featuring in-depth interviews with the designer himself, Marconi encompasses Lagerfeld’s authoritative, humorous, and soft side, as he talks about life, love, and loss. From designing couture in his private design studio, to his photography, his thirst for contemporary art, and his love for extreme luxury, this documentary also gives a glimpse into the fashion world itself interpreted through Lagerfeld’s eyes.
Lagerfeld Confidential is a Realitism Films production in association with Backup films and is presented in French with English subtitles.
