Travel + Escape Series "Stratusphere" Moves to CTV Oct. 4

Stratusphere, the new exotic adventure series featuring former seven-time WWE champion Trish Stratus, airs on CTV in a travel + escape programmed time slot beginning Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. ET/PT, following the successful series premiere on travel + escape. A selection of five episodes from the 10-part series will air on CTV.

In search of the most amazing locations and most daring physical challenges, join Stratus as she travels the globe tackling new challenges from glima wrestling in Iceland to muay thai boxing in Thailand. The series currently airs on travel + escape Monday’s at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT. Episodes are also available to watch online at www.travelandescape.ca. Stratusphere is produced by Suddenly SeeMore…Productions.

Episodes to air on CTV include:

· “Kalarippayat (Sword Fighting) in South India”
Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. ET/PT
Arriving in Kochi, India Trish Stratus learns the ancient martial art of kalarippayat where stick fighting progresses to brandishing metal swords.

· “Vo Binh Dinh Wrestling in Vietnam”
Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. ET/PT
Located on the stunningly scenic West Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam Trish Stratus embarks on her next athletic adventure. This time Stratus shows off her athletic prowess as she learns the traditional Vietnamese martial art called vo binh dinh.

· “Bungee Jumping in Bali”
Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. ET/PT
Trish Stratus visits Bali, Indonesia – also known as the Island of the Gods – where she tackles an intimidating treetop ropes course before bungee jumping from a 45-metre high tower at Kuta beach.

· “Paragliding in North India”
Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. ET/PT
Travelling from Delhi, Trish Stratus journeys to the Indian state of Uttarakhand with an appetite for adventure and learns to paraglide high above this unique part of the Northern Himalayas.

· “Pecak Silat Fighting in Central Java”
Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. ET/PT
In Indonesia, Trish Stratus visits Java where she learns about the fighting art of Pencak Silat.

Along with her seven-time world champion wrestling status – a Guinness World Record - Stratus is also a three-time ”WWE Babe of the Year”, was proclaimed “Diva of the Decade” and is one of the most successful women in professional wrestling. A true Canadian talent, Stratus is renowned for her work as a fitness model, a yoga-studio owner and television personality who continues to win over millions of fans worldwide.
