Business News Network

With Canadians focusing on savings more than ever before, BNN – Business News Network unveils a brand-new fall line-up with more investment programming than ever. As the trend in online trading platforms skyrockets in Canada, BNN introduces a revamped schedule that provides both new and experienced traders with the most up-to-the-minute coverage of the latest market trends.

“BNN has always been on the cutting edge of investment news and market analysis, and now we’re really taking it to the next level,” said Jack Fleischmann, General Manager, BNN. “With an increasing number of Canadians turning to online brokerages, there is a real need for more sound investment advice, and BNN is committed to offering all the latest financial news in a way no other platform can.”

The new fall season features the addition of three exciting new shows to the line-up:

Appealing to a growing audience interested in coverage of resources, host Amanda Lang delivers the latest insight into the hot world of commodities and the companies that produce them with new series Commodities, airing Tuesday to Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET.

The Business News returns with a new format and new time-slot, airing weekdays at 6 p.m. ET with host Michael Hainsworth, who continues to provide a fast-paced look at all the market, company and economic news of note.

Headline, hosted by Howard Green, also debuts this fall, broadcasting weekdays at 6:30 p.m. ET. Headline is an in-depth exploration of the topics of keen interest to investors, business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Other changes to the BNN schedule include:

The debut of a new hour-long version of the The Street, hosted by popular morning anchor Michael Kane, airing weekdays at 8 a.m. ET. The Street will continue to report on overnight developments and breaking economic news to help viewers prepare for the trading day.

Market Morning starts a half-hour earlier, at 9 a.m. ET, with Marty Cej and Frances Horodelski co-hosting the first 90 minutes, while Pat Bolland takes over for the last hour, providing instant news driving markets in Canada and around the world.

The Close, hosted by Kim Parlee and Andrew Bell, airs weekdays at 3:30 p.m. ET, and will incorporate the always entertaining stock debate, Stars & Dogs.

Finally, viewers can get their fix on the experts’ stock picks even sooner, with the ever-popular Market Call Tonight shifting to an earlier time-slot, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
