In early june, Canwest revealed information about fall programming of its specialty channels. Today, we give more details about the new and returning programming as well as premiere dates (when available).
FALL 2008 BRAND NEW SERIES
*****’d Gunns (13x30min) Network Premiere
Fridays at 9pm ET/PT beginning September 5
*****'d Gunns is an unflinching rockumentary series about the worst band you've never heard of: *****'d Gunns. Led by the brothers Van Gunn (Reggie and Dick), *****'d Gunns is poised to become the biggest band in the world. All that stands in the way of their dream is the band members’ lack of work ethic, talent, legions of fans and, most importantly, a record deal.

My Name Is Earl, Seasons Three and Four (44x30min) Network Premiere [HD]
Mondays from 10-11pm ET/PT beginning September 8
A bully and a low-rent crook, Earl wins a lottery and after an epiphany he is determined to turn his good fortune into a life-changing event as he sets out to right all the wrongs from his past.

Rescue Me: The Minisodes (10x5min) Canadian Premiere [HD]
Sundays at 10:45pm beginning September 7 (immediately following Weeds)
Providing viewers a much needed Tommy Gavin fix, Showcase will debut original minisodes of Rescue Me this fall. Penned by series creators Denis Leary and Peter Tolan and Rescue Me vet Evan Reilly, they feature Leary and other regular cast members in stand alone comedic vignettes. Season five of the hit series, guest starring Michael J. Fox, returns to Showcase in Spring 2009.

The Office, Season Five (23x30min) Network Premiere [HD]
Mondays from 11pm-12am ET/PT beginning September 8
Showcase catches up with the workers of Dunder Mifflin this fall, offering a smart, tongue-in-cheek documentary-style look at the humorous banality of the 9-to-5 white-collar work world.
Starring Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak.
Testees (8x60min) Canadian Premiere [HD]
Tuesdays at 9pm ET/PT beginning October 14
From creator Kenny Hotz (Kenny vs. Spenny) Testees stars Canadian newcomers Steve Markle as "Peter" and Jeff Kassel as "Ron," as two best friends and roommates in their early 30s who work as test subjects for "TESTICO," a less-than-normal product testing facility. In each episode, Peter and Ron are given a new product, experimental medication or treatment to test. The side effects from these are usually ridiculous and almost always negative.

The Starter Wife (10x60min) Canadian Premiere [HD]
Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT beginning October 22
