Rogers Sportsnet will be the only place for Canadians wanting High Definition coverage of UFC Fight Night 14.
Fans of the Mixed Martial Arts will be treated to full coverage of UFN 14 beginning with UFC Countdown on Saturday, July 19 at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT) followed by UFC Fight Night 14 live from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas at 9 p.m. (ET)/6 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet and Sportsnet HD.
UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva will be making his first light heavyweight appearance when he takes his 21-14 record against James “The Sandman” Irvin (14-4). Silva, described as pound-for-pound the best mixed martial arts fighter in the world, will move up in weight class for the first time when he jumps from middleweight (171-185 lb / 77-84 kg) to light heavyweight (186-205 lb / 84-93 kg) in his fight with Irvin.
Other featured bouts include a light heavyweight clash between Brandon “The Truth” Vera (8-2) vs. Reese ”Riptide” Andy (7-1) and Hermes Franca (18-6) vs. Frankie “The Answer” Edgar (8-1) in a lightweight match.
