CSI:Crime Scene Investigation Comes to Showcase Action
Posted on Monday, April 07, 2003 - 12:21 AM
Showcase Action

From Alliance Atlantis and action movie mogul Jerry Bruckheimer, North America’s number one television drama, Alliance Atlantis’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, comes to Showcase Action five nights a week. Starting Monday, April 28, seasons one and two of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will air Monday to Friday at midnight ET.

Episodes from seasons one and two of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation can also be seen on Showcase every Saturday and Sunday at midnight ET starting April 26.

Set in Las Vegas, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation chronicles the fast-paced lives of a passionate team of forensic investigators who use cutting-edge technology and old-fashioned police work to solve crimes. William Petersen (Manhunter, To Live and Die in L.A.) stars as “Gil Grissom,” a quirky senior forensics officer who heads the team of crime scene investigators which includes, “Catherine Willows" (Marg Helgenberger, China Beach), a single parent juggling the job she loves and her family; "Warrick Brown" (Gary Dourdan, A Different World) and "Nick Stokes" (George Eads, E.R.), who are in a head-to-head competition to solve their 100th crime; "Sara Sidle" (Jorja Fox, The West Wing), the rookie member of the team; and "Captain Jim Brass" (Paul Guilfoyle, L.A. Confidential), a no-nonsense police captain.

Each episode of CSI takes viewers inside the evidence to reveal what the untrained eye can’t see. Inventive camera work like the “bullet cam” follows the path of a bullet as it pierces a victim’s chest and tears through his/her internal organs.

Now sold by Alliance Atlantis in more than 170 territories worldwide, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is one of the most successful series in U.S. television history. In its second season, the series garnered an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Drama Series," a Golden Globe nomination for "Best Television Series Drama," broke the critical 25 million viewer mark in the U.S. an unprecedented nine times and completed the season as the highest-rated and most-watched drama series on television.
